You'd think that after raising three children, achieving spiritual enlightenment, and witnessing Britney's public mishaps, Madonna would have it all figured out by now. Apparently not.
On March 2, Madonna, 48, was caught taking off in her Escalade ESV without buckling up 17-month-old son, David. "There was no car seat," a source tells Us. "She sat in the middle row, and they left with David on her lap."
Reps for the legendary singer/children's book author tell Us that "proper security measures are always taken for Madonna's children."
If by "security measures" they mean, "laws of nature don't apply to Madonna's offspring," then, alright. We'll have to settle for that.
For more on Madonna's questionable behavior, pick up the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands now.

As Smart Blonde noted the woman in question is a Brunette; a Bleached Brunette in fact. There is nothing Blonde about Madonna or any other Bleached Brunette. Blondes are a tiny (3%) colour minority group and Bleached Brunettes are a huge (40) product-related group. Bleached Brunettes make tons of money off of assuming the image and name of Blondes and every stupid thing they do is blamed on Blondes. It's time to change this and call the Dumb Bleached Brunettes by their own name.
I would like to do link exchaging because i am doing link exchage web site page rank is very well and income is very big
I love Madonna with all of my heart, but this is unexcusable. I am suroprised that she would be this irresponsible
c'mon Gage... we applaud the good things Madonna's done and now we're acknowledging the bad. I couldn't care less how rich and famous ANYONE is, it's still wrong to not put the kid in a carseat! If they crawl out, great! Then there's an excuse for her.
It's Madonna. She can, apparently, do anything.
First of all, half of you retards on this can't properly spell, much less talk about someone being a good or bad parent. There are more of you out there than you imagine. I am by no means the perfect parent, I by no means critisize for shortcomings that I myself may have. I always put my children in car seats and you know what? They climb right out of them when they can, as soon as they can. I have seen the horrendous effect of not having a child in the seat, I know the consequences. I want to say to the person that says that she would love to stop and beat the mother of children that are jumping around in the seat with the seatbelt, who are you to judge? Do you have children? Have you raised two from infancy alone? Have you? It is completely impossible to be "Perfect Parents" So wake up and smell the roses to all of you who critisize the rich and famous. At least they are trying to give children some form of normalcy. They are doing this world a favor. They are helping one more child that is in need. So piss on you all who think that the celebrities are just out for publicity. And if they are, They are at least bringing attention to the problems of other countries and not just thinking about the US. That is the most common problem these days. The younger generation are mostly self serving idiots who care not about those who are less fortunate than themselves. Try thinking about others for a change.
I am 24, and even I remember my mom once in a while allowing my lil sister who is now 17, to go carseat-free some of the time when when she was under the age of 4. Was it the good ole days? Maybe so. But since then most people realize that it is much too dangerous and too risky, and for that it still remains wrong. Bear in mind that also when you or we were younger that a lot of things are different now, and for many, there are reasons. It's time to wisen up.
hmm, I understand the concern now that everyone is so enlightened in this day and age...I was just talking with my wife the other day and remembering the good old days in the back of my grandparents station wagon with my cousin, pointing and waving at all the people behind us...and I mean IN THE BACK...no seats...so no seat belts..and this was very common. I am only 32 so this wasn't back in the 40's :)
Honestly, people need to get off their self righteous pedestals and realize that people are people. Was she stupid for doing this to her kid with the knowledge she has today? Sure a little...Is it newsworthy??? The fact that some people in this world think so just make it all the more obvious that some people have no lives of their own.
Yeah, people make mistakes, but.... THAT isn't one. She ought to realize by now that being in the spotlight pretty much means you will be put out there, mistake or not. Bottom line... it's irresponsible, and anyone else would receive a ticket.
If I was able to post a picture here I would to show everyone my little girl when she was 2 years old and in a coma after her grandmother (my MIL) took her in the car a few miles from her home w/out a child seat or seatbelt and flipped the car 3 times. My little girl ended up underneath of that car and it is simply by the grace of God that she is still here with us today 7 years later.
She has continued doctor's visits and has been through one surgery with a possibility of more to come. My MIL still has nightmares about that day. She sees her sweet little grand daughter begging her to save her...sees her face go purple and watches the life go out of her. She had to be revived on the scene.
We were blessed, but many more are not when their children are killed making the same mistake believing that one time is no big deal..."or it's just down the road"...
IF Madonna actually drove off while her son was in her lap I pray that she realized it for the serious mistake it was and will not make that mistake again.
I think it's a blessing to her and her son that she was caught on camera and that an issue was made of it. That may save her from making the same mistake again and seeing her son struggle for his life or lose it.
If she didn't drive off and her son was in fact safely secured I'm sorry she had to suffer through this accusation...but in the end it may have served a good purpose in educating parents in car safety.
God bless.

What difference does it make what side of the ocean, uh, pond, you live on? Accident? Are you serious? Accidents are dropping toothpaste caps in the sink, not purchasing markers when you go grocery shopping, etc. Not restraining children in vehicals, getting pregnant or avoiding taxes are not accidents.
Well I suppose you American lothave proved yourselves to be quite a ridiculously stupid lot, proving Madonna is right to live this side of the pond. So she made a mistake, everyone does! Bet not one of you lot can say that you have got into a car and not fastened the seat belt! Shes a caring mother, am sure she did everything in her power to ensure the kids safety. Get a Grip!
It should not matter how much money or celebrity you have, you most important thing in life should be your child. One person said that a car seat wasnt available. Excuse me, they are sold on almost every street where we live. And she has the means to get one at a moments notice. It has nothing to do with hair color or background, its just plain stupidity to let your child sit inyour lap while a vehicle is moving. If you had to see what an accident victim looks like after being thrown from a moving car/truck/suv, you would think twice before doing it again. Maybe the Law should start cracking down on these people. If they are hit enough for their stupidity it maigh start to sink in. Make them accountable jsut like the rest of society. Have Childrenand Family Services step in and take the children til the parents can show they are responsible.
Uhm Brenda, Ms. Smart Blonde.....is a LOOSER the same thing as a loser? Just curious. Come to think of it most blondes are looser too! hehehehe
Everyone...sing with me...."Don't you wish your girl friend was hot like me" If she wants her little monkey to go flying through the windsheild, that's her parogative.
Oh dear! Didn't the "anonymous" idiot notice Madonna is BLEACHED blond? What an looser!
As a rare true blond at 42 yrs old, I can say with 100% accuracy it's the bleach blond brunettes who are the idiots. PLEASE! Get it straight!
Brenda
First off, this is a child we are talking about. Does it make any difference who is traveling with the child? Does your income level or status in society change the responsability you have for your child? Whether or not the children are Madonna's or mine, they belong in a child safety seat. Nevermind the law for a moment, lets talk sense. For me, common sense dictates that I wil do whatever necessary to protect my child, and when traveling, the carseat is the absolute best way to do so. Now, as to cell phones and smoking, lets keep it apples to apples here in this discussion and save your soapbox rants for another day. This is not about general road distractions, but about endangering a childs life. Too often we lose sight of the trees for the forest.
OH MY GOD! I cant believe how many ignorant, illiterate people post on these thinggs and have NO idea what they are talking about, nor have any common sense! I bet most of the "leave Madonna alone" whiners are left wing liberals. OK let me break it down in the REAL world, first off ASH1969 is right, car seats did not become law for kids under 5 y/o or less than 42lbs until the mid 1980's in only about 10 states, it did not become a national law until 2006, and in most states only carries a $100 fine. Pretty cheap for putting your kids in danger, and no i dont drive and talk on a cell phone. But I did have a friend who was driving with his wife who had her infant son in her lap, it was 1979, a drunk driver hit them head on in broad daylight and she crushed her babies head between her chest and the dash board killing him. She spent the next 3 years in a mental hospital from the guilt. Everytime I see a kid jumping around in the car driving next to me I want to haul that mom out and beat her with a seatbelt. Anyway what is madonna doing in the US ? I thought she was a BRit now, get out of MY country you no talent slag!
Dumb Blondes!!
Dumb Blondes!!
why do we keep giving a rats a** about these people? we all know they are above the law and do their own thing. They made their fortune and have now lost all sense of "normal" reality.
Um.. was this car actually moving when the picture was taken. It is a pretty clear shot. Shouldn't the picture be more fuzy if the car was moving and the person taking the photo was outside the car????
Get a life you #itches. You are nothing but #ucking holes.
What a LOSER!
YUCK IS RIGHT. GROW UP YOU DISGUSTING LOW LIFE.
IM ON THE RAG.
Please get over your holier than thou selves, how many of you smoke or talk on your cell phones while driving. That is far worse.
