Lindsay Lohan plays a kidnapping victim who is tortured in her latest thriller, I Know Who Killed Me. But whatever she suffers under her attacker is nothing compared to what she’s enduring from critics right now.
The film, which finds Lohan, 21, playing dual roles as a college student named Aubrey and a stripper named Dakota, is being savaged by critics. (“No prizes for guessing which performance is more believable,” snipes The New York Times.)
The movie didn’t fare much better at the box office. I Know Who Killed Me debuted in 9th place at the box office this weekend, bringing in an unfortunate $3.4 million.

But both characters are significantly more credible than the plot, a baroque blend of severed limbs, secular stigmata and prostheses doubling as ceiling ornaments...The film does, however, offer the intriguing image of Ms. Lohan trying to stitch herself back together — a scene just begging for a metaphorical reading...Pretentious and inane, “I Know Who Killed Me” arouses unexpected sympathy for its embattled star.

Why Lohan thought it was worthwhile to get day passes out of rehab last year to make this picture is more mystifying than anything Dakota and Aubrey get up to. Her career could take a hit only if anybody goes to see this thing. For her, that may be the only good news of the week.

Here's a thought.....WHO CARES?!?!? Try leading your own life instead of following the downward spiral of just another Hollywood washout. The movie is just another one in a long line of films that have the same theme,beautiful people getting scared.Here,let's make a short list! Hostel 1&2,The Hills have Eyes(which was a remake and still sucked),Touristas.I'm not saying the actress made the movie bad.It was bad already.

lo-hoe is not a good actress not a good singer why would anyone waste their time going to see any movie shes in or buy any cd she sings on..well maybe little kids would because they don't know any better but smart adults would not waste their time as you can clearly see by the flop of her movie i think people are really just sick of the dramma shes worth more as a tabloid queen then as an actress she probebly gets more for her p^ssy pics then for her role in this movie....she so nasty and dirty 21 and a druggy-booze-headed wh^re..great story to be able to tell her grand children some day.

Let's see ,that's THREE out Of THE FOUR young crappy "star"examples for our kids to look up to who have been in or on their way to jail..Can we just NOT follow them around and put them in the spotlight anymore and choose some DECENT STABLE PEOPLE to put in front of our kids? this movie is very irritating. there was so many ways they could have taken it but they almost made it way too fictional. some of it was funny and then the torture scenes were just too much. it was too gory. LL did a good job at portraying both parts but the movie itself was just not a good choice for her career....very different and undecided of what to think about it.

Oh man is this movie bad, but, oh so good! I felt bad for laughing, oh, THE ENTIRE TIME! It is just so unbelievable! "People get cut, that's life". Too Funny!!!! The best part is the internet clip she finds on stigmata and the guy is smoking. What the hell?! I cannot BELIEVE she signed up for this. If you aren't in a good mood when you see this, you'll be super p.o.'d you wasted your money on it. I am actually glad I saw it considering the countless chuckles I've had throughout the day.

Addiction is a horrible disease. Denial is just one of many symptoms. Unfortunately, often we have to look up from the bottom, before the light shines down on us. Deep inside Lindsay is still the same little girl she was when she did Parent Trap. I sincerely hope this is her bottom and she realizes how sick she really is. If there is a next time, it could be her last, meaning she could successfully overdose. I must agree, these nightclubs should be held responsible for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. I live in a dry county, it is 20 miles any direction for just a drink. DUI's are not a serious problem here. Actually, crystal meth and prescription drugs are. What I mean is, you can't get away from it. Irresponsible drinking and drugs can come in all ages. However, the law is the law, and this kind of law should be enforced, regardless of income.

Those pole dancing classes DID pay off. I was kind of surprised though, it was almost more of an NC17 than an R, IMO.
Stacie, at least DO rent it. I thought it was worth the money. Most movies anymore you know what's going on and how it'll end from the beginning. This one drew you in and kept up the suspense.
And the whole theater was cracking up during the sex scene. That was hilarious!

I definitely wasn't an oscar-worthy movie, but I've definitely seen worse. The parallels between the Dakota character and Lindsay herself were just hilarious. My favorite part was near the end when the low battery indicator on her artificial leg started beeping and flashing and they zoom in on the LED's on the prosthetic ankle. Before I could stop myself I commented out loud "look an alcohol monitoring bracelet" and everyone near me in the theatre started laughing.
She does make a halfway decent stripper though. Maybe she's gearing up for a career change.
