Shame on you, Lily Allen, for not knowing how gorgeous you are! The 22-year-old Smile songbird posted a tearful message on her MySpace blog on Saturday, May 12, venting about her body issues, saying that she's succumbed to "the evil machine" of weight obsession.
She titled the post “fat, ugly and shitter than winehouse.” (Allen often finds herself compared to fellow British “it” singer Amy Winehouse, whose increasingly skinny frame has become drawing concern from her friends.)
The entry reads:
“fat, ugly and shitter than winehouse
that is all i am, im on my own in america again. I used to pride myself on being strong minded and not being some stupid girl obsessed with the way I look. I felt like it didnt matter if I was a bit chubby cause, im not a model, I'm a singer. Im afraid I am not strong and have fallen victim to the evil machine. I write to you in a sea of tears from my hotel bed in Seattle, I have spent the past hour researching gastric bypass surgery, and laser lipo suction."
The singer is well-known for her frank, self-deprecating blog entries. Last month, she announced that she was canceling part of her U.S. tour.
"I am tired , but more than that I don't think I have been giving my best performances recently," she blogged. "I have been getting really drunk because i've been so nervous about doing bad shows , and I don't want people spending money on a going to see a show that isnt the best it could be ."
But she was quick to add: "I am not falling apart at the seems , I am not suffering with exhaustion , I am not pregnant , and I am not going to rehab ."

lily allen is absolutly amazing. she's beautiful and talented and unlike most young celebrities today she doesn't big herself up and pretend that she's a saint. she portrays herself always as the person she really is. yeah she drinks, yeah she parties but who doesn't these days. as for being fat, she's got an hourglass figure - what all girls want.

I think Lilly Allen is way prettier than Amy Winehouse, but not half as talented. If I were her I'd be more worried about my voice in comparison to Amy's amazing sound, then my looks. Lilly is beautiful.

Lily Allen is A beautiful Sexy woman! I'm 5'4" weighing in at about 12st (170lbs), UK size 14 - 16. I view myself as fat, but unfortunately for me it is down to a medical problem (PCOS), and one of the side effects is insulin resistance which leads to weight gain. Despite all that, all my friends, family and even when I go out people who don't know me, tell me that they love my curvy figure. Most men perfer a curvy figure to the thin ones too! I say, you got to learn to be happy with aht you have - If it your weight causes you health problems then you need to sort it - but if not - live life to the max cause I gaurantee its what is inside the packaging that truely counts!

I am 5'0 and 137 pounds and I have about the same body as Lily Allen does. She is not fat. Just because she isn't a stick thin person does NOT mean she is fat!!!!!

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think that Lily Allen looks drop dead gorgeous in this picture and she is crazy to let a bunch of ignorant comments about her weight get her down. Okay, well, not crazy, just human. I think people forget that actors/actresses, singers, and other celebrities are still people, and that their success doesn't give us the right to belittle them and break them down. Sure, a lot of celebs are arrogant imbeciles and a lot of them make a great deal of money doing things that don't warrant such high pay, but even they deserve to not be critiqued body part by body part and statement by statement, least of all Lily Allen who is a really interesting singer. She may not be a classic singer but I like her and I like her style, and I just feel a tremendous amount of sympathy for her because she is who she is and it isn't right for people to compare her (or any other celeb out there) to anyone else. So she's not as gaunt as Amy Winehouse, who cares? Just because they're both from England doesn't mean they're supposed to be twins. Besides, Amy Winehouse seems fairly disturbed and her live performances aren't as good as her studio recordings so I don't get all the buzz. She's doing Motown but not nearly as good as the women who did it several decades ago, and I'd rather listen to the originals than her. Lily Allen on the other hand has this charming playfullness about her songs. Poor Lily! Don't listen to all the trolls out there who anonymously trash you because I bet if you met any of them in person they're nothing exceptional to look at and they certainly wouldn't say half of the things they write about you to your face.

Very few people who've gone through puberty and reached adulthood are small enough to naturally fit into size-2 clothing . Lily is amazing; I just recently bought her CD and haven't stopped playing it. I admire her style and I think she looks perfectly healthy. Of course, she is nowhere near the size to be eligible for gastric bypass so that’s just silly. The reason why such young girls are suffering from eating disorders is because of the bleeps below me. Lily....you are gorgeous! The only people who are stick-thin (and look close to death, in my opinion) are models and drug addicts. I saw a photo of Winehouse recently and she looks like a crackhead or speed freak. Her thighs were smaller than her arms and it was disturbing. She is very young but looks 50. I'm 5'10 and used to weigh 125, but looking back, I was gross! Now I weigh 160, which is still "thin" for my height, but in Hollywood, I would be considered FAT, which blows my mind.
Keep your curves and embrace being a woman!!!!! You are a great role model for young girls in a world where too many look up to unrealistic and unattainable body images.

I think that her saying she is fat is an attention getter..Just like the girls that sit there and say they are so fat just to hear people say there not. as much as i love her sound Amy looks scary and drug ridden, ttttoooooo skinny, bad teeth, and in general not much of a looker. she just has her "look" and that works for her. but not everybody can pull of toothless, cracked out, bouffants.
