Lance Bass thinks pal Justin Timberlake should help Britney Spears through her current struggle.
"Justin could really help," Bass told Usmagazine.com.
Bass thinks his former 'NSYNC bandmate – who dated Spears for four years ending in 2002 – should join an extended support system to aid Spears, currently dealing with severe bipolar disorder and a legal fight with her parents after a week in the psych ward of the UCLA Medical Center.
"I hope that she gets good people back in her life," he told Us. "It would be nice to see those old and familiar faces from back in the day back in her life."
"Hopefully this is as low as it will go," he added. "She will definitely get the help that she needs."
Spears was released from the UCLA Medical Center on Wednesday after being involuntarily committed to treatment for bipolar disorder on January 31. She had been expected to remain hospitalized for another 10 days.

i do agree. lance needs to stop living in the past. its a basic equasion JT+Brit=NEVER AGAIN. LANCE+JT+those other guys=pretty sure boybands are indeed a cliche of the 90's. (unless you're a prepubescent girl who's just entering the fifth grade... then, there is indeed hope for you!)

Justin cannot "fix" Britney. It's not his job now, and never was. Bipolar disease is not something family, or friends, has any control over. Britney is ill. She needs competent doctors guiding her forward. To the extent that she follows their recommendations, she will improve. Time will tell.

Justin is doing what he should be doing and that is staying away from Britney. Why does he need to help her at all? The best thing for her would be to go home and get away from all the money/attention grasping people around her. It seems like she needs some rest and privacy to deal her health/mental issues. She dated Justin years ago. Since then they've both had other relationships (obviously). Why would Justin show up at her crazy house? They dated when they were teens.
Besides, there may be other reasons JT wants to stay away other than bad publicity. Like...her cheese has kind've slipped off her cracker and she's a little scary at the moment.
