If she had another week or two I think she could've found it & America would have been blown away again! She just needed some rest & help choosing better songs. I will miss her on AI, but look forward to GREAT things to come from her. Way to Go Kisha!

One word, America: phew! Last night's Idol was new and improved - with 50 minutes of filler! – but in the end, the results weren't too much of a shock. It was definitely sad to see LaKisha Jones sing her final notes, but apropos of her "Stayin' Alive" reprise, she really will be stayin' alive on the industry radar, what with the Idols Live! tour, finale performances and, oh, pipes that give good ol' J. Hud a real run for her money.
The week's filler proved mildly interesting, as Idol's faithful got the chance to see our final four as wee little tykes. Got to love the week when the baby pictures make their debut! For the record, Melinda Doolittle wins the "cutest baby award," what with her "Mickey Mouse 'fro" and all. But Jordin is close behind, losing out by just a single curl.
Team Idol totally duped us into thinking we'd be treated to a group performance of "How Deep Is Your Love" – since the kids were seen on camera practicing the tune with Barry Gibb on Tuesday – but instead they offered a fun tribute performance to the man of the hour. Truth be told, last night's group number was so much better than all of Tuesday night's performances combined. And for those of you keeping score, Gibb's still got it – falsetto and all.
In the end, it was Miz Jones who hit the bricks, pausing for a tear-streaked second to offer a reprise of her well-received "Stayin' Alive." We're sorry to see her go, but better her than Blake. And as she sang her final notes, we weren’t wondering what her next career move would be, but rather how Sir Cowell rates as a kisser. That sassy Brit doesn't pucker up for just anyone, and we intend to get to the bottom of this Idol romance! Stay tuned for our interview with Jones later this week for all the answers.

I just loved LaKisha, and I was really sad to see her go! She has such an amazing voice. There's no doubt in my mind that she'll have plenty of success. I thought Blake deserved to go home last night though because neither of his songs were very good on Tuesday. It'll be a Melinda and Jordin finale, I'm convinced. I think Melinda is the better talent, but Jordin has the advantage because of her age, I think.
Some of you brought up Carrie Underwood. Talk about someone who should be ashamed of herself. I've heard so much negative press about how she is as a person as a result of her success. She's really changed for the worst. Supposedly she was talked into going to Iraq to sing for the troops, and she was complaining the entire time about the food and the accomodations. That takes some real nerve! You're in IRAQ - what was she expecting - a 5 star resort? That just made me mad. She's really full of herself now. She was quoted in a magazine saying how guys talk to her more now, but she can't help but wonder if it's because "they just want their picture in a magazine." Come on girl! You're not Madonna. Get over yourself.

The only people that have the staying power from AI are-Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Kat McPhee and of course Chris Doughtry. These people are AWESOME!!!! Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I love AI and hope that it's around for years to come. Sanjaya will probably be around for awhile too, but for something other than singing.

I was dissapointed that Lakisha has been voted off and sent home;but I will love her and miss the that she did the song from Dreamgirls.She got the most beautiful voice.I can't wait to hear her new album soon.I wish Blake will go home next week.I hope Melenda and Jordin will be in the finale.Those girls were amazing.

I would ask her how bad it was to be voted off before a sukky, no taleted singer like blake lewis and what it felt like when people wanted her to go before him knowing she has way more talent than he will ever possess. I would also ask her if she thought people who thought he was better needed ear repair surgery or if she thought perhaps they were dropped on their head when they were babies.

Blake should have gone home last night, but I guess they needed the guy for the competion, if he could sing instead of spitting he might be alright.
Melinda she HAS had formal training and she was a professional back-up singer.
LaKisha was real talent, as is Jordin who will win.

druid...you may want to tell kelly clarkson and carrie underwood that daughtery is the only talent to come out of this show OH and tell all the millions of people that bought their records too while youre at it. fantasia is a big talent too so as far as daultry...only one song so far! i do like him but, come on be fair!

LaKeisha didn't sing well the other night. However, she will make it okay.
Melinda can't help the way she looks; hopefully she will win because she is the strongest singer of all.
Jordan is cute and has a great voice as well.
Blake is unique, but this is a singing competition and his vocals aren't as strong. However, if he wins it will be based on popularity and that's not the purpose of the show

they need to cut results night back to a half hour. that shows was tooooo long. it just seemed to drag. pinks performance seemed so odd for the show and barrys song...yikes and did anyone catch the bulge? i was so distracted...gross.

Blake has to go next week, that's a singing competition, not a beat boxing (spitting all over) contest. He's trying too hard to be JT.... Blake you're NOTTTTT! and yes you are NOT HOT! Melinda & Jordin should be in the final, they have what it takes, they have been in the front run all season!!

I was sad to see LaKisha go. The upside for her is she gets to go back to her daughter now, who I'm sure has missed her mom. LaKisha is the real deal and she will still succeed, just not on AI.
Jordin is starting to grate on my nerves. She is giving these fake smiles and cheesy expressions all the time now. It all may have gone to her head a little it seems.

Daughtry rocks and I'm glad to see his success but let's not forget little miss Carrie Underwood, that girl can sing. My sister got me her cd for my birthday and I love almost every song on it. But Kelly Clarkson I think is overrated and full of herself, never mentions idol as her starting place.

You are right....sorry~it's just hard to keep your mouth shut when it comes to stupidity. On the Idol front, I'm glad Lakisha went because nobody under 45 would've bought her crap~Melinda is bad a$$ but again, very older generation there, too~Blake...besides his beatboxing, he's very karoake mediocre as far as vocal talents, and we don't need another JT. Jordin is by far the best and most marketable person on the show and I would actually purchase her CD. The only other real talent to come from this show is Daughtry.
