Khloe Kardashian Released From Jail After 173 Minutes

Khloe Kardashian was released from Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood County, CA at 1:29 p.m. Friday – just 173 minutes after entering the jail, the L.A. Sheriff's Department announced on their site.

She turned herself into L.A. Sheriff's Department custody Friday morning for violating probation following a 2007 DUI arrest and was booked at 8:52 a.m.

Khloe, 23, entered the jail at 10:25 a.m.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie were also held at that jail; Richie for just 82 minutes.

Khloe partied with sister Kim and brother Robert Jr. at Matt Leinart's Celebrity Bowling Night at Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood Thursday night.

"She's not nervous now, but I think she will be tomorrow," Kim told Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday.

"She definitely has to live up to what she's done and take responsibility, and she's willing to do that. I think she just wants it over with," she added. "Khloe is the tough one."

She's "ready and willing" to head to jail, Kim wrote on her blog Tuesday.

Khloe will also have to enroll in an alcohol treatment program — one of the terms of probation she failed to complete — within three weeks of her release.

Kim wrote on her blog: "I urge people to learn from the mistakes of others. Please drink responsibly, and it's never acceptable to drink and drive!"

To 1:43 Anonymous: Sorry to disagree, but I think people have every right to express their annoyance at having this person crammed down their throats through her obnoxious use of the media while she claims to be a “role model.” People are just tired of being offended, and of listening to Hilton’s dishonest posturing. It certainly reflects what most of us out here think.

You seem to feel a little threatened by their honesty for some reason. Why else would you falsely accuse them of “ranting and raving”? Sounds a little suspicious to me.

Hilton never planned on building that halfway house – too much work and time out of her self-absorbed schedule. It was just another one of her many lies. That’s why she wrote the check, and had her reps distribute a press release before the ink on the check was dry. If she hadn’t, her “career” would have been in the shredder. And she didn’t really work for that money – it’s a small percentage of the profits from the clothing line she leases her name to that’s sold through Kitson, and other cchaep, overpriced merchandise she neither creates nor designs. That’s how Paris “earns” most of her money.

All of this from “tabloid scandals, and the sex tape and jail term notoriety” and the Hilton name. So much for being an “entrepreneur.” She’s the consummate leech, and never does anything that doesn’t benefit her.

I think all these star's that are putting example's of all you do is "Time" and get more publicity by drunk driving need to spend a day at the Morgue viewing autopsies of bodies-victim's of Drunk Driving so they see what it's like to kill a person!!!!They are getting off to easy thats sick!! First of all, a crime is a crime no matter who you are.Everyone is leaving comments about being a Christian. It does not matter what religion you are.If you are going to do something that you know is not the right thing to do, then you need to own up to it and do the time when you are caught. Regardless if any jail is over crowded, your state representatives need to do something about it. What would happen to these stars if they were drinking and driving and had an accident and killed someone would it be ok to let them "turn" theirselves into the authorities to serve their "time" I don't think so. Do something about your actions or the comments you all have about the situation

With all due respect, I used to work in the entertainment industry in Beverly Hills where Ms. Hilton is widely regarded as a disingenuous phony. To compare her behavior and lifestyle to those of true celebrities the way you have in your comments is simply untrue, and an insult to those who earn their living through hard work, character, and talent. They do not make most of their money through manufacturers who produce merchandise they lease their grandfather’s last name to so that they can all profit from tabloid scandals, sex tape and post jail notoriety.

You want people to admire Hilton because she wrote a check? Do you know how many people do this every day, and how they are far more generous than Hilton? Hilton just doesn’t have it in her to earn respect, so she has to buy it, like publicity -- like everything else she does. It’s rather obvious; especially, given the speed with which her PR people distribute the press release. To make things worse, you promo posters publicize it on the Internet in such a gauche manner. You appear to use any excuse – any forum -- to put it out there. I think it’s good that Hilton finally got around to obeying the court order and started to help others – despite the fact that she also appears to have done this for badly needed publicity, and that this is not money she has truly worked for and will hardly miss. She really had no choice. People are grateful for whatever donations she has made. But in all sincerity, they are more appreciative of those who do it from the heart.

I have friends from all walks of life. They all give to worthy causes without wanting any publicity in return, and without a court order to help persuade them. And there are those who give substantial percentages of their earnings to those in need – more than they can probably afford. They intentionally spend less on themselves to benefit others in need. These are wonderful, amazing people. To be honest, I have far more respect for them than I would ever have for a Paris Hilton.

The claims of Khloe "Who?" Kardashian being a "monster" are ridiculous, even coming from someone who thinks the entire family is a bunch of pathetic ho-beasts. As is the cliams that somehow Khloe is using her "fame" to get a lighter sentence.

First of all, as my nickname implies , WHAT "fame?" Just because talentless hacks like US Weakly treat these desperate D-listers like "stars" doesn't mean that people in the REAL world are going to give them special treatment too.

Secondly, I take it very few of the people commenting actually live in Los Angeles. LA (and California), in general is very densely populated. The prisons here reflect that population. Plus California right now is having something of a budget crises. And...well...we have a lot of crime here. All that leads to overcrowding jails. And I doubt people really want muggers and rapists to go free in her stead just to "teach Khloe a lesson."

Finally, I still haven't heard any indication that her sentence is so radically different from other people in similar situations.
I just don't get the "special treatment" accusation.

Oh but she's still a dead-behind-the-eyes idiot though...

If the jails are so overcrowded that someone sentenced to 30 days, serves less than 1 1/2 hours, then the "system" in place isn't working. So,they should change the system for these types of crimes, and instead have a HUGE fine. If one had to pay 10-20% of your income for 5 years, you might reconsider driving drunk. And, the money earned could be used specifically to build a larger prisons.

I thank Judge Sauer, I thank the media and those Hilton critics who have encouraged and goaded Hilton to start making good on her promises. I also thank Hilton’s greed, her excessive lifestyle, her constant bid for attention, adoration and media publicity. Without all of this, this “generosity” would not have been possible.

Know nothing about this woman other than her fame comes from her sister. My only point is she is getting the exact jail time that anyone would get under California State law. Paris actually was over sentenced. If you have a problem with the law blame the law makers, not celbs. They should behave better because, press makes them famous. If you have a problem with people who get DUI's getting off with limited jail time, go into politics.
