I just don't like Jordin, she is "Souless" to me. She is good at singing songs taught to her. But she has not lived enough or is not bringing anything from her Black heritage. Who is she going to be? If she beats Melinda Doolittle then I have been right, America has lost any idea of what it takes to be a great singer. You can go to any Black church and fine someone or several someone's that could out sing Jordin.I hope she learns to reach back and bring something from the history of her folks. And maybe one day she will be a great singer. Not a ad for something "Safe".

As the competition heats up and Idol’s top six engage in an all out battle for a finale berth, we find our priorities shifting. At first we pledged our allegiance to LaKisha Jones, but, with the finale fast approaching, it was Jordin Sparks, who, with pepped up pipes, won our hearts.
The tides turned for us as Miz Jones took the stage with a flat, unemotive version of “I Believe,” originally belted out by Fantasia Barrino. In a copycat performance that had us feeling nostalgic for Barrino’s raspy vocals, Jones just didn’t do it for us this week and will probably find herself in the danger zone unless America’s feeling extra-altruistic.
Following decent “life anthems” – playing off the show’s Idol Gives Back charity theme - from Chris Richardson and Melinda Doollittle - it was clearly Sparks who saved the otherwise dull day. Already a performance vet at 17, she oozed spunk and sass from her every pore as she sang the Rodgers and Hammerstein original “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” While Jackson dared to deem the performance “The best vocal out of any vocal ever in six seasons,” we beg to differ. However, with her flawless look and pitch-perfect pipes, Sparks wins our prize for best vocals of the week. See you in the Top 3, Jordin!
