Jessica Simpson infuriated fashionistas at a W magazine bash in NYC on Wednesday night when she took over an entire balcony and barred guests from the area.
The party -- which was honoring Simpson's new stylist Britt Bardo -- was extremely hot and guests kept retreating to the balcony to cool off and get some fresh air. But after Simpson arrived, publicists cleared out the entire patio for the singer and her posse, angering the crowd and causing most of the guests to leave.
"It was so hot and she got the whole thing just for herself? I am livid," one eyewitness told Us.
Once outside, Simpson, 27, talked mostly to her mane man Ken Paves and danced while publicists fiercely guarded the door and wouldn't let any other guests on the patio.
But at least Simpson was in high spirits. "I am doing great and really enjoying fashion week,” she told Us.
The pop star told USA Today that she is looking forward to Fashion Week this year because she is finally "coming as a designer."
"I get to be here as a fashionista. I get to come as someone who has made a product that people like," she said referring to her successful shoe line. "I want to wear heels all the time and the fact that my shoes are doing the numbers that they are doing means everyone wants to wear heels all the time, too."

Jessica Simpson is great! For all you haters out there- zip it. She may not be the smartest crayon in the box but she is genuinely nice, sweet, and creative. She is a good singer and admit it, she is damn hot! She also has some of the best fashion sense out of most Hollywood people these days (hello Mary Kate Olsen and Britney Spears). Not to mention that she isn't a slut like most of the pop women that are in today's music and is someone that can actually be a role model for her values and ideals.

I have a pair of Jess' shoes, I love them! I think someone made a comment earlier about thier shoes breaking... Take it easy on Jess. An insider at the balcony party had said that she was 'freaking out' about her weight the week before the show. We all know her size goes up and down quickly. Well, she had gone to two different 'spa ranches' and had gotten the most allowed colonics from both in 5 days time. Well, she was still having some 'tenderness and control' issues that night. How embarassing! You can't tell me that you wouldn't try to stay outside all night either. Poor Girl.
