Is Jessica Simpson’s flick Blonde Ambition too much of a stinker for the silver screen?
“It is going straight to DVD domestically. It will only come out in theaters internationally,” an insider tells Us Weekly.
What’s the problem with the romantic comedy, costarring Luke Wilson, 35?
“The movie is absolutely horrible,” says a source. “It’s just a bomb, mainly because of Jessica’s acting.”
Counter’s Simpson’s rep: “It’s definitely a theatrical release.”
A rep for the movie studio tells Us, “The final distribution plans have not been confirmed, so it would be premature to comment at this time.”

I think Jessica Simpson must be talented, she's proven that before. Perhaps her problem is that she has her ex-preacher "fallen from grace" dad as a manager. If I were her manager, I'd try to find a way to cast her in a re-make of "Three's Company" as Chrissy. Hey, there is not much distance between that character and the true Jessica Simpson as far as intellect and looks are concerned, right? Don't try to move away from the dumb blonde gig, Jess. Stick with what works.

I met jessica on the set of her movie "Blonde Ambition" when they were still shooting it and i actually got to talk to her breifly!!! She's so sweet, and she gave me her personal myspace it's myspace.com/sweetjessicakisses. I actually get to talk to her, and I asked her about her nose and she said she feels better. =]

I was an extra in this film.
Jessica had to be fitted with a hidden earpiece so that someone from the crew could read her lines to her during some of her scenes. I was embarassed for her.
She was always late for her call times, was a major prima donna, and just cannot act.
The film has some good actors: Luke Wilson, Rachel Leigh Cook, Andy Dick, Larry Miller, Willie Nelson, Penelope Ann Miller, and even Penny Marshall has a small role. I feel for them that they have to be associated with this bomb.

I dont even know why anyone cares, half the stories in all these gossip mags are not even true. Thats why they are called "Gossip" mags. I really just feel sorry for all of the celebrities. With cameras in their face ALL the time and stories made up about them all the time.

It is so sad to see Jessica stardom fade. She has proven to be a fake person. She dumped Nick like a hot potato and took up with John Mayer who only wanted to get the goods. So sad Jess because you had a husband who loved you so much and waited on you until your wedding night. Who else is going to treat you like Nick. He is a great guy and his chartacter speaks for itself. He has comitted to one women again and I hope she don't break his heart like Jess did.

This movie was destined to end up on DVD or acrapped completely. The concept is tired, the costumes, hair and makeup are atrocious. Let's not forget the fact that JS couldn't act if her life depended on it. She was terrible in Dukes, horrible in EOTM. You'd think she would at least take acting classes to compensate.

Her album, which had heavy, heavy marketing in Australia, peaked at no. 36 and sold about 1,000 copies. That's how popular she is. I'm not expecting the movie to be released here at all, thank you god!

Linda Lovelace would be a great role for an actor, but if you had the best script in the world and cast this tranny the film would suck. I doubt this will get much play overseas, this bleep is best known in America.
