Jessica Simpson Going to Kuwait

Jessica Simpson is heading to Kuwait, the singer says on a fan site.

"Hey ya'll. I just wanted to say hi, and let you know that I am hard at work on my country record, and I can't wait to share it will all of you. I am heading to Kuwait to do a show for the troops, then back in the studio. I love you all and am so blessed by the support and love you show me everyday!! xoxo jess"

The Kuwait concert will take place on March 10, a source tells Usmagazine.com, and will be broadcast live on MySpace.

It isn't Simpson's first troop visit. She and then-husband Nick Lachey visited Ramstein Air Base in Germany, where they spent several days as part of a USO-hosted tour in 2005.

Simpson is currently dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. A close pal of Romo recently told Us Weekly, "I think they're gonna get married."

6:34, Jessica DOES NOT care about the troops, While over in Kuwait Jessica had the event organizers fly her and her entourage on a private jet, Jessica refused meet and greets, demaded her own seperate vehicle, demanded security personnel waive her through customs in Kuwait, she also demanded that all personnel leave the on base Coffee Shop Green Beans so that she could have the place all to herself.

Jessica and her entourage were also paid a lot of money for their quick trip over there. Her hairstylist was paid $10,000 per day and her makeup artist was paid $6,000 per day.

Jessica is ALL about her and nonody else.

My Fiancee is in Kuwait and got to call me today and said that everyone is very excited to hear her perform. They are miles away from home and seeing someone like this from our country is good for our soldiers. You may not like her music or her personally, but she is doing this for our soldiers and it is a very nice act. You should at least support her for supporting our troops.

My best friend is over there and he's telling me that she'll be booed from sunrise to sunset. Most of the guys in his baracks can't stand her. Especially the Dallas Cowboy fans. Who gives a rats a$$! For all I care, she can just stay the heck over there! A few years back, after my brother-in-law returned from his first tour of Iraq, the Army had a big celebration on base for all the returning troops. Jessica Simpson happened to be one of the performers there, my sister was telling me that the majority of the people in the crowd were either booing during her performance or just walked away from her set. I honestly believe that this is just a PR thing because she's got a country album due out and she's hurting for money.

luckily - our men and women in the armed forces are mainly very well educated and smart..........you will always find some "brainless and tasteless ones", like those few mentioned above!(or maybe you are just happy with a jessica if your girlfriend is like annon here - then i do understand!!!

but honestly:

aren't our troops struggling enough?
they have to fight in wars , against terrorists and have to be apart from their love ones and now they have to deal with this blond-bimbo-stupid-trash?

Jessica Simpson visited troops in Iraq in 2005 with her then-husband Nick Lachey. I saw her. Some of you have it backwards - she is not copying Angelina Jolie - if anything, Angelina Jolie copied her. Jolie didn't visit the troops per se but only spent a few minutes with the troops as part of her two "official" visits late last year and this year, and her trips were generally not well-received.

Say what you will about Jessica Simpson, but I think she genuinely has goodwill toward the troops and she will be well-received.

The timing to me is suspect. Why go now at this particular time? Well, because she has a country record coming out, and everything rides on it. Also, her image has not been great lately given her movie going straight to DVD, and the whole Tony Romo/Cowboys fans fiasco. She needs some good PR. I am a little curious what she intends to do to entertain? Her singing is lousy, so I guess she'll just put on her daisy dukes and prance around the stage. That will keep the focus off her "talent".

Soooooo..... she pretty much ran out her welcome pass here in the states, now she's looking to get attention by a crowd of military troops.....which by the way havent seen or had a piece of American a** for years. Its all about her. Her music is lame. If troops really wanted a musician to come and entertain them, Im sure they may want to hear music that carries a good beat and gets them pumpin and not sobbin over her lame a** love songs about her ex. No offense meant to Jessica simpsons rather ovbious attempt to give back and garner publicity) but Kuwait is the fourth or fifth richest country in the world. The country is extremely oil rich and the consumers demand the best which is why they have a Gucci store as well has other high end elitest brands. The's pretty much safe as kittens so Jessica can do her heavy shopping after performmances.She should have attempted to get into Iraq that would have resonated more with people.Angelina who is A-list got it Jessica ...more on the c-list
