After taking a honey-colored pit stop last Thursday, Jessica Simpson has gone even lighter and today is back to her original cornsilk shade.
On May 18 at the Cannes Film Festival Simpson explained that she was lightening up for her role in her new film Major Movie Star.
“I'm on my way to being blonde for the movie,” Simpson said of her in-between shade. She will begin shooting July 9
Why did she dye her trademark locks to brown in the first place? Insiders tell Us Weekly that Simpson, 26, shed her iconic blonde color back in February at the behest of then boyfriend John Mayer, who preferred her hair darker.
“John told Jessica that she has to change,” says a source. “He didn’t want to be dating this ‘blonde bimbo.’”
For her part, Simpson prefers life as a blonde.
“I think I do have a little bit more fun as a blonde,” she told Us. “People take me a little too seriously when I'm a brunette. They think I'm trying to be dark and mysterious, when really I'm not.”

The light brown is way better than the blond.
For Dukes of Hazzard movie - u should have been brunette - then you're career would have really taken off.
Tip:
When acting - don't look like you everyday, look like the character. You'll be more respected as an artist.

What girl would dye her hair because her boyfriend said so? As far as I'm concerned, if a guy ever told me to dye my hair because he preferred it a different shade, or that he didn't want to date someone with my hair color, I'd dump him. That sounds awfully controlling and while it's not some huge sacrifice, it seems the first step down a path of following his orders, and Jessica is better off without him. Honestly, I sincerley think she probably regrets ending her marriage with Nick. I think she had pressure from her family and she felt like she didn't have the chance to be the single party girl, going from a religious childhood straight into a marriage, but ultimately, I think she was better off with Nick. I'm hoping she has some strength and doesn't act like a little school girl over any guy again because it's sad to see girls lose themselves for a guy (and I think coloring her hair was just one of many things she did to appease John Mayer).

Employee of the Month was a cute movie, no it was not like an Oscar nominated movie, but it was cute. I think that she will do wonderful if she is just herself and does not try to be anybody she is not.
