Jessica Simpson is fighting mad over a recent OK! magazine article claiming she was dumped by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
TMZ.com first reported that Simpson's lawyers had fired off a strongly-worded letter demanding a retraction for an article which claims Romo broke up with the singer because she was high-maintenance.
The letter referred to the article as a "smear campaign." Her lawyers insist: "Mr Romo and Ms Simpson have not broken off their romantic relationship."
A rep for Simpson confirms to Usmagazine.com that the singer's lawyer sent a letter to OK! but had no additional comment.
A source close to Simpson tells Us, "Jess and Tony did not break up. OK!'s story was full of lies."

I will always respect and support Jess. I can't wait to hear new music from her and I hope it will be as fantastic as The Wreckers album! No matter what the haters will try to humiliate and bring her down, I hope she uses that bitter experience as an inspiration to write a great song on her new album.

12:32- Actually you are both wrong. Tony Parker is the one that filed the lawsuit, not Longoria. Also it is against X17, the website (not the girl) for publishing the tale. Also, just because you believe it, doesn't mean it's true. Text messages can be faked you know... What other evidence was there by the way? No pictures, no hand written notes, no stained dress...lol
One more thing--Love Jessica Simpson. Stop with the all the hating people!

Compare that to Jessica Simpson who has been beratted in the press for cheering at a football game and dating a Dallas Cowboy QB. The same QB that botched a snap in the play-offs last year, when they were not dating. Now, suddenly his misfortune is because of her. Whatever.

Even on this site there is a pic of her along with the Tony Romo vote question, she looks stunning.. better than i could look on a good day of hair and makeup. She should stop trying so hard and own her natural beauty.

how many times has US printed that she's pregnant? That she was full of drugs after being taken to the hospital (no drugs found in system), that she was found trying to pick up kids at a school. I bet 95% of the time, the articles they print here are just that, lies.

Filled with a supposed friend of Jessica making horrible comments about her as a person. It reads like fiction and I was not surprised to find it is. Maybe if they had said a friend of Tony's said the stuff because it offered insight of what Romo was thinking. How would HER friend know that? Why not read the article and then join back in the conversation. An informed opinion is better than a clueless one.

Who said the cases didn't make sense? The original poster was claiming the only time people fight back was when the tabloid told the truth (meaning the OK! story therefore must be true). I said that thats not true, celebs have fought against lies and won. Whats so difficult for you to comprehend?

You all have thick skulls. The point is that this is a neverending attack on Jessica and you all are proof that it is affecting her image and her career. She wanted to fight back, get over it. She's allowed just like you're allowed to stand up for yourself.
Maybe if you got your head out of the tabloids and joined the real world you'd have a more open mind and be able to comprehend things in more terms than just black and white.
