Owen Wilson and Jessica Simpson have known each other for years, but it took Willie Nelson to bring the Texas natives together.
After reconnecting at the Spicewood, Texas set of a Nelson music video on October 15, Simpson, 27, and Wilson, 38, have been spotted getting friendly at bars from coast to coast.
On October 28, the couple hung out in a cabana at The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, California. A week later, they were seen again dining at New York's Waverly Inn before heading to the Rose Bar, where a witness tells Us Weekly, "Jessica was touching Owen's arm and flipping her hair." In return, the fellow patron says, "Owen was charming, making Jessica laugh...it felt very date-y."
But are these two singletons looking to settle down, or keep playing the field? A source close to Wilson tells Us, "Owen finds Jessica hilarious, but he's talking to lots of girls." And despite the pair sharing "a natural attraction based on southern values," a Simpson source says Jess is taking things slow. Says one pal, "She didn't think dating would be so hard!"

I think this is just pure publicity. No one cares about her anymore, so what better way that getting hook-up with some one that has been or will be on the spot light. It is so sad that some people have to go so low just to get on a magazine cover.

I seriously doubt this will go anywhere (if it's true). Owen needs to focus on his recovery and that does not allow for relationships. His friends have said he is considering leaving Hollywood as the high profile lifestyle is not healthy for him. Well if thats the case, why would he want to be with Jessica, who loves and caters to the paparazzi? That was the problem with she and John Mayer. She loves the attention, he didn't.
I'm still holding out hope for Owen and Kate Hudson. So cute together, and his family loved her. She's outdoorsy like him, and down to earth. There's was a good match. I bet they would still be together if it wasn't for his addiction.

I think they make an excellent couple :) I don't even like Jessica Simpson much...I like Owen Wilson. I don't think Jessica is especially photogenic, and she sometimes can be scary with too much make-up. That said, I think she is a natural beauty (she looks better without make-up) and pictures don't do her justice. On Newlyweds, for instance, she always looked gorgeous, but in still photos she gets caught weirdly. A lot of people are like that -- prettier in person. And a lot of people are the opposite.
