HOnestly, I can't believe the things I've just read. NOt only does both ignorance and hatred reflect in each and every comment, but also the little knowledge you all have of this individual and her work. If only you all knew the strength, talent, dedication, passion this individual portrays. As for Bordertown it exploits the tradegy occuring in Mexico and the many victims which have been killed in this region. Jennifer Lopez was recently honored with The Amnesty prize for her support in Mexico, has been awarded many other times for her engagement with other causes aswell, and will continue to be awarded... Jennifer Lopez has an immense passion for everything she does in life, and has gained recognition for doing the things that she mostly loves..Why can't others simply congratulate her for her existence, for the simple things as just seeing something like dance as part of one's life and living and breathing for the things we're everyday passionate about, for making so many woman feel worthy of their body and who they are, instead of complaining..Not until she came into the picture would woman comfortably feel pleased with who they are..Not until Jennifer Lopez came into the picture with this security, confidence and pride of who she was did woman really start to accept themelves with thier looks, curves, or even without them..Oscar winning actresses, GRammy Award winners, people both in and out of the media look up to this woman and when asked if they could be anybody else in this world but themselves who would they be, or who they wish to have a body, personality, laugh, career like say Jennifer Lopez..How odd is that right?? ..SO why not Give credit to what is due and deserved and mainly respect the art and love this woman has for all she does..I pray you all take a moment and reflect on the not so pretty things you all write and say about someone who you personally don't know but think you do, if anything wish you knew, or wish you were. Yeah, to me I used to like J-Lo, but I think that she has a look that,,,,,,Well, don't quite fit with her anymore, I mean come J-lo, Girl, you look OLD!!!

and for goodness sakes.. the woman is 37 yrs old, she is bound to have wrinkles.. people expect celebrities to be "perfect" and without flaws.. there is no such thing as that.. on the contrary, she seems human! I look at it this way - I have seen several J. Lo movies that have mad me very sad that

A)Hollywood rewards mediocrity like no other

B)Much more talented black actresses sit on the back-burner while this no-talent gets blown up like the World Trade

and

C)That I just spent money to see something that doesn't even rival a good game of charades

If she got booed, and it upset her, good. She couldn't have been more upset than the people that dragged their asses out to that film festival, expecting to see some real entertainment.

I think the press was disgusted by the fact that J.Lo used the poor Mexican women tragedy for publicity. Did anyone else notice she released her Spanish album around the time the movie premiered? It's like the J.Lo album and The Wedding Planner double promotion all over again. It's bad enough that she didn't donate any money to a charitable cause that could help the victims families. And now the news reports that she is attending the Oscars this Sunday to present an award. I guess that will be the only time she'll ever hold the golden man in her hands.
