Harper’s Bazaar couldn’t decide which celebrities deserved to be on their best dressed list this year (Kirsten’s “street chic” or Halle’s “showstoppers”? It’s like choosing which child to save in a fire.), so they invited everyone aboard.

In the December issue, the mag crowns 54 women “best dressed,” and puts a happy and hoisted Jennifer Lopez on the cover.

J.Lo, 37, tells Harper's why she stepped back from the spotlight after getting married, content to languish in the shadow cast by Marc Anthony’s cheekbones, and gives us a forecast on her Doppler womb radar (Current conditions: 100 percent non-preggage with a zero percent chance of in vitro.) Excerpts from the interview below:

On her love of fashion:
“I love the fantasy that fashion brings; it can make you aspire to a better life, like it did to me. Though people might make fun of some of my outfits, I hope- and I think- they respect the fact that I love fashion, and I go out and do it.”

On her favorites right now:
“I love hats and head wraps; they remind me of Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, and Lana Turner-old Hollywood,”

On being famous:
“Fame is very intoxicating. You don’t realize what you’re doing when you’re young. I finally took responsibility for the fact that I was a party to how everyone talked more about my love life than the work I was pouring my heart into. I made some changes. That going-out-and-being-glam thing gets old fast. People keep saying to me, ‘You’re not out there anymore.’ And I say, I say ‘That’s because I don’t want to be.’”

On rumors of future family plans:
“Absolutely, 100 percent false. I am not pregnant. I am not getting in vitro. These kinds of rumors are part of being famous, though. You learn not to let it affect you.”

“I haven’t had a child, so I don’t know if I know if I would be superprotective of overjoyed to share my joy. I won’t know till it happens. Everyone has to do what feels right for them.”

i really didnt have a problem with jennifer lopez untill now. it dosent matter if she isn't the actual one killing the animals because she is still promoting fur coats by wearing them. think about it. her fur coats onced belonged to an innocent animal that was tourtured and skinned alive. and for her to just not care? how would you like it if you and about 40 other people were captred, then kicked in the head several diffrent times, skinned alive, then thrown in a pile of a bunch of other bloddy bodies to die. imagine someone doing that to you and 40 other people just so they can look stylish. she cannot do whatever she wants because she lives in a civilized world where any slightly intelligent person woulden't even think of doing that. it just proves how small her heart is. god did not create animal so they could be treated like dirt and if you do treat them like dirt you will be punished. animals have feelings too

I used to like Jennifer Lopez when she first came out because she appeared to be a promising actress. After Selena she has not done any good movies that deserve recognition. Then she moved on to music, her first CD On the 6 was good and I admit I bought it, the later CD's are not exactly grammy nominees. Then came her clothes line, I'm not a fan of her clothes because is too hip hopperish rather than sophisticated which is the image she PRETENDS to give off.
Rather than spending her time doing magazine covers and attending all the hollywood events she needs to focus on her DYING career and now that she married Mark Anthony her career is definetly not going anywhere but back to the bronx.
She also needs to pull fur off her clothing line if she wants to gain couple of more fans or do some charity work (work not donations). People see her as this media wh*re, who in my eyes makes hispanic people look horrible. She needs to hook up with Salma or Penelope and get some advise!!!
