Was Jennifer Aniston's recent dinner date work or play?
Despite the rumors, love wasn't on the menu when the 38-year-old actress hit L.A.'s Il Sole with film financier Ryan Kavanaugh, 32, March 26.
"It was a business dinner," an insider tells Us Weekly.
Not that Kavanaugh, a producer on Catch and Release, whose company raised over $4 billion to finance films, isn't a catch.
"He's extremely wealthy," says a source. "He could definitely help Jen finance projects."
Still, the meal -- set up by friends -- did have a personal purpose, too.
Says an Aniston source, "It was a test run just to get her out with someone."
As she looks for a new beau, the star remains on good terms with ex Vince Vaughn.
On March 28, she attended his 37th-birthday party at West Hollywood's Sunset Tower Hotel.
Says the source, "They are great friends."

You are assuming that what you think is happening in her life is true. This girl has been doing her thing for a long time now.
Dating other men - even right after her break-up she was dating. Just because she is not a serial dater-like Brad has always been-moving from one person to the next (even before jennifer!) doesnt make her "in a rut" she is single-Big Deal! If I were in her situation. Gorgeous, Rich, Famous, no children, able to travel whenever-I'd enjoy being single too.
Once I went on vacation, I had the FUNNEST little fling-and u jest cant do that w/some man waitin for u at home! Quit makin assumptions based on nothing!

I dont think you should tear someone down because something wrong happened to them. Cheating on a spouse happens a lot, and just because it happens to someone does not make them inadequate, or less of a woman or a man. It makes the other person guilty of adultery-which is a sin, and It raises the question of what exactly is that person's issue that they cant live up to their obligations?
You cant use Angelina and Brad's relationship to show how unsucessful Jen has been in hers. Cheating on your spouse, being attracted to unavailable men, then having an unplanned pregnancy so early in the relationship, before there is any foundation built for a baby, nevermind that he wasnt even divorced is not the kind of relationship anyone should try to model. That is not the way it should be done!

9:29 The movie Wanted that Angelina Jolie is doing has nothing to do with the movie that Jen was going to do with Meryl Streep. They are two completely different plots. That movie "Wanted" on her IMBD is one of Jen's projects that she took from Plan B. I think she is creating a new production company with a friend/producer and this movie is probably one of the projects that she will develop. If she does she will probably change the name of the movie.

11:21 Bet: I agree with you. People are always trying to compare JA and RW. They have both handled themselves very well. Their ex spouses handled the situation very differently. RP has stayed very low key. He has not been photographed with women and has not accompanied a girlfriend to adopt a baby while he is still married. I think he has shown some class. That she knew he loved and respected JA. Do you really think BP would have stayed with JA for seven years if she is as awful as you describe??? BP probably left JA out of love for AJ not hatred or bad feelings towards his ex wife. BP and JA handled their divorce in a very civil manner. BP family is friends with JA. Are you an idiot, or just pretending? She got divorce two years ago and started dating shortly after. She broke up with Vince only a few months ago. Why does she need to rush into another relationship??? So I guess Paris, Lindsay, Nicole, etc. are your idols because this is the sort of thing that they do. Is it because you see her in the tabloids almost as much as Lindsay, Britney.... etc. It is not Jen's fault that the tabloids need her to sell even if they have to make up stories, or tell us that she walks her dogs, or that she has dinner with friends....They feel that if she is not in the magazine people will not buy it. The rely on the fact that she still has a lot of fans and a lot of people that care about her. I am sure she is not happy with the fact that every business meeting that she has turns into a media frenzy.
