Why cover for her? She knew
'daddy' was a drunk when she picked up her 1st drink. She's made herself a bad joke, so why shouldn't the folks in the trade get their laughs at her expense?

Lindsay Lohan learned a valuable lesson on Tuesday: don't cancel on Jay Leno.
The 21-year-old actress, who was scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show on Tuesday to promote her upcoming film I Know Who Killed Me, left Leno and his staff in the lurch when she cancelled after her second DUI arrest in 2 months.
Stuck trying to find a replacement guest in just hours, Leno lit into Lohan in his opening monologue. "We had Lindsay Lohan booked on the show tonight, but apparently she was already booked," the comedian joked. "It's too bad about Lindsay. I thought our competition was Nightline and Letterman. Turns out it's Cops and America's Most Wanted."
The laughs at Lohan's expense didn't end there! Leno continued to prove that hell hath no fury like a late night host scorned, getting into the specifics of Lohan's woes. "I guess you've all heard the story by now," he began. "Early this morning, Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of DUI and possession of cocaine. She told cops she was just researching a role for a movie, in which she will play herself."
Even Lohan's recent stint in rehab wasn't off limits, as Leno teased, "Didn't she just leave that rehab center in Malibu called Promises? I hope you kept the receipt. What's the promise? They keep the room ready for you?"
Despite living in a post-Paris world, Leno expressed doubts that Lohan would see much jail time for her digressions, adding "I guess this is like the second time this year she's been arrested. Of course, under L.A. law she could do as much as seventy-two hours in jail."
