Sorry doll. Hurling racial epithets at someone is considered provocation and threatening under the law and you do have the right to remove the immediate threat from your space. You can't beat the living crap out of someone, but if they are in your face and agressively calling something as inflammatory as a "the N word", a crack to the jaw will likely not result in jail time.
Jason ought to be ashamed of himself. I have personally seen him having lunch with a couple of black men on more than one occassion. One of them was even in the background of that Hills episode where he announced his engagement. I don't know how he thinks that is appropriate for him to ever say and I don't know why these "friends" of his haven't checked him yet. He's an idiot that clearly can't communicate on more than a 5th graders level. When you're angry, just go for the lowest common denominator of insults. He's trash and his family should be appalled at what a loser they unleashed on the world.

Jason thinks that just because he acted like a jerk on Laguna Beach that he can do that in the real world. I hate to burst his bubble but we can't all walk around and act like rich snobs and say and do whatever we want. This isn't the "bubble" of Laguna where anything you do can get covered up with your parents money...this is the real world. You can't walk around insulting people and calling them what ever you want. Obviously Jason learned nothing from his previous arrest where he was drunk and insulted a different security guard. Jason's only way of getting attention in the papers is when he acts out...seriously act your age.

He has the right to say what he wants but if ANYONE steps in my face (invading my space) then I do have the right to defend myself and if I feel threatened...can even result to knocking them the hell out. That's NOT ignorant, that makes the person who would even dare to do so ignorant. Chances are, I would not get arrested...especially if I had witnesses and I was provoked.

I too believe in freedom of speech and I don't feel any word should be banned. If you're a racist biggot, I don't care, if you're apart of the KKK, I don't care BUT if you come to my face and call me the N word expect to get your a** laid out. It's as simple as that.

Look I'm sure this is offensive but you know what? I just don't care. I don't like what he said. I hate racist people (I am one myself actually) But at a point you begin to not care. He's a loser and a nobody so why does it matter. I mean honestly these days only in certain situations do I begin to really care. Hope people can not care so that it's not a big deal. That way he doesn't even feel good. The less you care I find the less they make comments like that.

I don't come in this room to argue with people and I most definately do not come back to see what someone I don't know or care about wrote. So Jason is a jerk, he used a word that was wrong and that's that. He should have grown up enough to know that the N word is not alright and just because his Mommy and Daddy are rich doesn't make everything he does OK. I'm not sure what you all will think of what I wrote and I don't care it's my opinion. Just like you have yours and I dont bash it because you're entitled to it. Although the people who seem to spend all day on here for hours that is a bit disturbing. You'd think being a productive member of society would be more important to some. I'm not saying that what Jason said wasn't in poor taste. I'm not saying that I think ANY racial slurs are okay to say, especially in certain settings. I AM saying that you can't go around banning certain words, it's unconstitutional and the list would never end.
