Maybe this therapist might treat your son or daughter and Hunter might be saving you from the tragic heartbreak that she herself is feeling.I think what she is doing is wonderful and brave while it will not sadly bring her son back she could be with her efforts protecting others and I as a parent myself think that what she is doing is good and my heart goes out to her as one mother to another. One month after her son Michael Jr. drowned in a pool following an apparent seizure October 18, Hunter Tylo is changing her malpractice lawsuit against the social worker who treated him to a wrongful death claim, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue, on newsstands now.
The Bold and the Beautiful star, 45, is accusing Nevada-based therapist Shanna Downing of misdiagnosing the 19-year-old’s seizure disorder, which started affecting him at age 15, as “stress-related” and implanting “false memories.”
Does she have a case?
“If the patient is not cautioned by the therapist to continue with medical treatment, there could be negligence,” Santa Monica, California, criminal attorney Alec Rose tells Us. “But the ‘false memories’ claim will be difficult to prove.”
Reps for Tylo and Downing had no comment.

This story sounds like a bunch of crap. Hunter Tylo has no case here. She can't take ownership of her family falling apart, so she just needs someone else to blame for her own motherly neglegence. A Social Worker is not an MD. If her son had issues it was up to Ms Tylo and her husband to take him to a Board Certified Medical Doctor. She is responsible for that and she and her husband alone.
Losing a child of any age is the worst thig a parent can live through. She has chosen to handle this by ruining someone else's life and not taking responsibility for her own parenting

Suing? For? Wait, wrongful death and false memories, misdiagnosis ....This is a bit much. Sorry but it's tough to point a finger when you were not there when he died. She's to blame as much as his father and the therapist. It took this for her to realize something was wrong? Bull! I wish someone would sue her good and so she sees how it feels, her son not dead that long and now she's again making waves to destroy a doctor for something she is partially to be blamed for. Maybe she should sue herself for neglect. How's that for legal advice.

but I wouldn't call her 'sue happy' either. She has
only sued Aaron Spelling and now this therapist lady.
TWO measly people doesn't make one "sue happy".
When she has a history that includes suing a TOTAL
OF 5-10 different people including various family
members like my sister-in-law, that would be "sue
happy." Hunter isn't even close!
Oh and about the plastic surgery, who really cares,
it's like a requirement in Hollywood anyhow.
She doesn't look even look bad like some of you

I think Hunter Tylo although as pretty as she is and inspiring as she is, has been thru too much in her life and this was the last straw.I feel so sorry for this woman because clearly someone is advising her to go after this therapist, and I don't think she will win this case at all.
I remember the Spelling suit, and she won that one (rightly so) but this case I see being thrown right out of court, I would bet on it. Tylo is not a bad person, but I believe she is a truly troubled person and has been for a while. I feel sorry for her.

I feel for her my sister lost a child 4yrs old and because of the doctor misdiognosed the child he died.

wow. its sad that some people are really trying to contribute something here, where others just want to curse at eachother and not respect opinion.
I have never lost a child, and celebrity or not, in this case I dont know if it would be easier for me to find someone to blame because i needed closure.
my heart goes out to all of those who were kind enough to share their personal stories.

I lost my precious baby boy Lucas when he was only 8 months old - I wanted to lash out at anybody I was SO angry - but I never sued his doctors - why - it will never bring back my beautiful baby - It has been two years since Lucas died, and I am angrier then ever - I guess at myself for not doing more to SAVE HIM!!! Suing people is not the answer

This story just got even sadder. I agree with everyone who is saying Tylo is just lawsuit-happy. This was a tragic accident, and no one is to blame. More money will not bring back her son, so why is she setting a horrid precedent for her surviving children that you don't remember the good times and not dwell on the bad? Shame on you Hunter Tylo!

As a mother, I can understand wanting to get back at anyone or anything who hurts your child. The problem is, the child had seizures. When I was a teenager, one of friends' cousins died from falling into a creek while fishing -- he also, sadly, had a seizure which precipitated the fall. Sometimes, bad things just happen to people -- no matter if you're good or not. I feel badly for Hunter Tylo, but before she sues, she should REALLY think about it. Now, in the case of Dennis Quaid, I think he SHOULD sue -- but give the money received to somewhere that it would help those affected dosage errors.
