She's mentally ill, and getting help for it. Even someone without mental illness would probably fall apart in the fishbowl that Britney lives in. I'm not a fan of hers at all, and I never have been, but I think people need to leave her alone and allow her the time she needs to heal.

okay I really don't feel sorry for this girl so I never defend her until now (and its probably just this once). Who ISN'T going to act like a zombie after not sleeping for days?!?!? so many conflicting reports - I work at the hospital, was there at her check in - she was very sweet, tired, scared and worried, but NOT screaming. We have been 'threatened' by firing if we devulge anything beyond her entrance into the hospital (2 I know already have been let go). Save yourself embarrassment, what you hear from the media is only partially correct, if that much. Our hospital is use to high profile people, she is 'nothing new' to us.

As I was remembering and looking back at all the years Britney has been in the spotlight, I seriously have to wonder: Was it all worth it? Did she want the fame so terribly that she was willing to lose her very self?

I can't help but think she would give anything to be back home, back in her small town in Louisiana, back when nobody knew her. But, of course, those times are long gone now. What would she give to go back in time?

I'm a guy, I don't know Britney personally, and yet somehow this whole thing saddens me deeply. Speaking as a male around her age, I can't help but think of the guys who have taken advantage of her over the years. Does that have some role to play in her troubles? How many have wanted their own "quick fix" at this girl's peril?

I hope and pray she gets better. I hope and pray that she wakes up. I hope and pray she remembers who she used to be and realizes she can again be that sweet girl with the Southern accent who stole so many of my generation's hearts.

I thank God that I was blessed with the parents, the teachers, the friends, so many over the years, who influenced me. Would that Britney have had the same.
