There is a different side to Heidi Montag that you don't see on MTV's The Hills, the 21-year-old budding singer tells USA Today.
"I have been the most religious person since I was 2 years old. I always felt this crazy connection to God," says Montag, who identifies herself as "kind of non-denominational Baptist."
Montag — who just released her latest single "Fashion" and frequently reads the Bible — says she even wants to record a Christian album.

She adds that she once planned on devoting her life to God as a missionary in Africa.
She and beau Spencer Pratt — who just attacked Mary-Kate Olsen after she said he had a bad temper in high school — will head there in August to "feed children and help build things."
(Pratt noted that they could adopt a baby while there, but Montag said, "not right now. I think we'd be married before we do that.")
Despite Jesus teaching forgiveness, Montag says that rule likely won't apply to her relationship with Lauren Conrad.
"I don't think people are ever going to get that," she says of a reconciliation. (Still, she insists Conrad will "always have a place in my heart.")
Of Conrad's claim that Montag spread those sex tape rumors, Montag says: "God knows the truth in all of this, and at the end of the day, that is the only thing that matters. Jesus was persecuted, and I'm going to get persecuted, ya know?"
As for the new season of The Hills (the first of 19 episodes debut August 18), Montag says viewers will get to meet her old sister Holly, an aspiring filmmaker who once lived with her and Conrad.

"Holly and Lauren were inseparable for a while," Montag says. "But they stopped being friends when Lauren and I stopped being friends."

first of all Hiedi shouldnt be doing no christian album because one i am a christian and ive been watching the show and yess maybe sometimes show business can change things around but i seriously think Heidi is not no church christian girl... and another thing people that are so called devoted to God christians do not drink and go partying sooo i know alot of people would most definitely not buy her little dumb album. And another thing she should know a so called christian is not allowed to have any sexual intercourse with boyfriends until official married.
i really hope she gets into this website so she can see everyones comments on her Christian album. its not that she has haters its just she sooo fake and a complete total liar. but who am i to judge we'll let GOD take care of that.

Heidi needs to realize that though no one is perfect, to say she is going to record a Christian album and influence people that way, she needs to set an example. Going to Africa to help is a good step, but the bible clearly states that it is not by works alone. So recording an album is not going to do anything if she is living a double life. She has to think of all the young girls that watch her on TV living with her boyfriend (not her husband yet), and then saying she is a Christian. The devil comes in many disguises, and this may be one more way that he is trying to influence our lives. Also for Heidi to say that she will never forgive Lauren is not a very Christian attitude. No matter what the issue, God always forgives us, even for murder, so for her not to let go and forgive for something much more insignificant is not showing God's power and love. None of us have the right to point a finger at Heidi either though because none of us is without sin, and God views all sin the same. I believe that if someone were to come along side Heidi and mentor her that she could be successful in her aspirations of being a Christian artist, but before she even thinks about influencing the lives of others she needs to evaluate her own life, and make sure that for the most part she is trying to make God like decisions. We are all hypocrites, but if we try and work together, and show each other where there is room for improvement then this world could be a lot nicer to live in. We all need a little constructive criticism once in a while.

Wow, just when I thought Heidi couldn't say or do anything idiotic she surpises me and does!!! If she is so close to God and reads the Bible I would assume she knows were it says that you are not suppose to have premarital sex and live with a guy. Plus I don't think Jesus would be well please with her partying habits. I think she better start thinking before she thinks. Just because you read the Bible or go around saying your a "Christian" doesn't make you one. What makes you a Christian is reading the Bible and applying its truths to your life and being Christ like. I think she needs to have the Bible read and taught to her, then maybe she will figure it out. It doesn't take a rocket scientist!!!

It's great that she reads the bible. Now she just needs someone to explain it to her. Devout Christians know their religion and the morals and principles that go with it.
