The obnoxiously wasted frat boys who party with Sacha Baron Cohen in an RV in the film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan are suing the film’s production companies for allegedly plying them with booze and then documenting on camera their swift transformation into total a--holes.
In the film, the University of South Carolina students are seen chugging alcohol, and then spewing epithets against “bitches” and declaring that America would be a better place if you could still own slaves.
According to TMZ, the plaintiffs -- listed as John Doe 1 and John Doe 2 -- were allegedly assured the film would not be shown in the U.S. and their identities would not be revealed.
They were both selected to appear in the movie and, according to the suit, taken "to a drinking establishment 'to loosen up' and provided alcoholic beverages." They claim they signed the movie releases after "heavy drinking."
The suit claims both men were then taken to a motor home where they were filmed, all the while "encouraged to continue drinking."
The plaintiffs claim they suffered "humiliation, mental anguish, and emotional and physical distress, loss of reputation, goodwill and standing in the community" because the movie was, in fact, released in the U.S. The suit asks for unspecified damages.

I think these guys were simply drunk. People say a lot of stupid things when they are drunk. I think that Borat crew took advantage of the fact that these guys were too drunk to realize what they were saying and probably even lead them to say it. I wonder if they boys were drunk when they signed the release form, because I think that was a dirty trick on them.

It's funny how when white people make racist comments it's taboo and they are considered aholes but when black people sit there and make stereotypical comments about whites and make racist comments about them it's comedy. Racism is racism no matter what color your skin is. I think it's crap that white people keep getting the crap end of the stick on this issue. I think the comment they made set everyone back about 60 years with all the progress we've made, but to make a f-ed up comment like "white people, I'm not surprised" is just being racist yourself. I think what these boys have said was really ignorant but don't throw the whole white population into this.

How ridiculous! What a waste of time. I believe more worthwhile court cases, involving real crime, do not deserve to be held up by a group of drunk neaderthals bullshit lawsuits. I would be mortified if that was me but then again, drunk or not, I would never say such biggoted comments. International embarassment is exactly what they deserve for saying such revolting things. Boys, you made your bed, you lie in it. Alcohol is never an excuse.

READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!I am sure most of you will agree that when you are drunk, you do not support slavery,
anti-semitism, and say stupid crap like, "I hate fags!" At least I hope not...When I am drunk, I am drunk and having a good time. I have not seen the movie and I can only comment on what I have heard. But if these dumbass guys are stupid enough to believe that this country should bring slavery back, regardless of if they were drunk or not. Then they deserve all the hate that they are getting. They are getting the same hate back that they are giving to the African American population. They are only getting back what they deserve!

Let them sue. Then when they lose, make them pay for all the legal fees and additional restitution to taxpayers for wasting the court's time. If they're in college, they're adults, they are old enough to either accept the consequences of their actions or behave with decorum in the first place. Booze isn't a reasonable excuse - like many have said, producers didn't force them to drink, and they sure as hell didn't force them to spout off like idiots.
Anyone who still holds on to those Reconstruction-era ideals deserves massive exposure and humiliation. How did immature ignoramus like that get into college?

i would like to know how old they were...18 versus 21-22. USC is where you go if you want a law degree or medical degree. i don't know about the rest of the US but in SC some of our biggest racist, chauvanistic men are lawyers and doctors. Then they move on to become politicians. I have a different opinion. I believe they should be able to sue, given that the film's star and the film company made money using the boy's images illegally. The reward? No money, just the gift of having their names published for all the world to see. Being exposed is EVERYTHING these jackasses deserve.
