Jennifer Garner is living every food lover’s wildest dream! The actress, who has become a bit of a foodie herself in recent months after showing off her culinary expertise in a series of Facebook videos that she has dubbed the “Pretend Cooking Show,” caught up with celebrity chef Ina Garten on Sunday, July 15, in East Hampton.
The pair spent part of the day together chatting, having coffee and probably talking a bit about their collective time whipping up tasty dishes in the kitchen. The Alias alum, 46, was so blown away by her time with the Barefoot Contessa star that she took to Instagram to reflect on the experience.
“I understand if this brings up big feelings for you,” she wrote alongside the cringe-face emoji, “But I spent the morning with @inagarten. In her barn kitchen, in her garden, having coffee … yes. It’s true.”
Garden, 70, is a beloved figure in the food world thanks to her Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa, which wrapped season 24 in April 2018, and her best-selling cookbooks including The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook and Barefoot Contessa Parties!
In fact, the pair hit it off so well that Garten even gave Garner a preview of her upcoming cookbook. “I even got a sneak peek of the new Barefoot Contessa cookbook — #CookLikeAPro — it’s fabulous,” the Love, Simon star added on Instagram. “Thank you for the perfect morning, Ina, you are beloved for a reason. I can’t wait to continue the conversation.”
Garner, who appeared alongside Garten in a 2017 episode of Barefoot in L.A., concluded the heartfelt post with a heart and signed her name, adding “#sheseverythingwewanthertobe” and “#luckyme.”
It appears to be a mutual admiration society for these two, as Garten share the same photo on July 15 and captioned it, “Such a fun morning with @jennifer.garner ! Nothing more soul satisfying for me than to spend time with a smart, compassionate woman I admire.”
Garner is currently making the media rounds with Once Upon a Farm, the organic family food company she co-founded in 2015 which offers cold-pressed organic baby foods and applesauces.
