Ellen Pompeo hasn't called Paris Hilton out by name, but she's come awfully close.
The 37-year-old Grey's Anatomy star tells Los Angeles Confidential Magazine that she's tired of socialites "who are rich and famous for nothing," according to the AP. Might these socialites' names rhyme with "Ferris Bilton" or "Picole Nitchie?"
The concerned actress explains, "We're so focused on the wrong things. We're teaching young girls that this is what they should be focusing on: rich and famous girls who are rich and famous for nothing. What are we doing to this younger generation? It's not very responsible."
Another thing Pompeo is worried about? Speculation that she has an eating disorder. "I just worry about the girls who look up to me -- I don't want them to think I starve myself or don't eat, and that to be like me that's what they have to do," she tells the mag.
Even after expressing her worry over the decline of western civilization, Pompeo had some time to fend a few questions about her now 9-month engagement to record producer Chris Ivery. "I swear we're going to get married at sometime. We're just trying to fit it all in. It won't be a big ceremony -- we want one thing to ourselves."
And surprisingly, despite all its aforementioned flaws, Pompeo says she wouldn't mind bringing a child into the world, though she acknowledges that "with the show, I just don't know if it's entirely fair to myself and to everybody else right now."

MCET - Ashton "punks" a lot more people than those who just appear on the show. The people who look like a-holes usually don't sign the releases. Too bad she couldn't have done that, I would like her a lot more had I not seen that episode.

And yes punk'd can make anyone look like a monster but belive me this was one for the records, she was incredibly crude, rude and obnoxious. All I can say is I would not want to be friends with someone like her. She seemed full of insane ager and hate. FYI she should know no one would ever want that skivey boyfriend of hers.

So Opinionated- I'd heard that Ellen was this heinous witch on punk'd and it was more embarassing to watch than funny, so I watch the episode....
Basically she was eating at an outdoor cafe and this young-college-aged girl was waitressing and she was hitting on Ellen's boyfriend. Nothing terrible, no touching or anything, just compliments on his hat and giving him extra attention with the order. Elllen was PISSSSSSED. Whenever the chick would leave to get their order from the kitchen, instead of chuckling off a younger girls' attempt to flirt, Ellen trash-talked the hell out of this girl saying cr@p like she needs to be in vegas cuz she's such a sl*t, and the greyhound goes there. After a while, when you could see Ellen was seriously ticked off, she pulled out her Grey's Anatomy and when the chick left, Ellen said she was going to "stab" her in the clavicle with her fork. Seriously!. The whole time you could see Ellen's boyfriend (since he was in on the joke) trying to calm her down and get her to relax b/c he realized she was making herself look like a psycho on national tv.
I don't know, maybe she was having a bad day or something, but she made herself look like a very petty, insecure woman and it was embarrassing to watch. I've seen gradeschoolers and high schoolers act like this, but usually when someone is in a stable, trusting relationship with the man they love, they are not threatened when chicks flirt with him!

This must be a very slow news week!First Kate Walsh's not as wild as the press is making it out to be bachlorette party makes all the rounds.Personally the pictures at the most showed a group of women having dinner and maybe a bit too much to drink.If that is what they're calling wild,well then I've been at much scarier functions.

Ellen is right, Beverly Hills rich kids who only shop, eat lunch and go to nightclubs should not be considered celebrities.
On the other hand, real entertainers are getting some relief from annoying paparazzi from being in their face as no-talent heiresses and FORMER stars such as LiLo and Brit have the photogs chasing after them every minute of every day.
Ellen, consider yourself lucky.

Anonymous is right, one of his arrests had to do with credit card fraud. Think he also has some drug charges on his record. So if Ellen's cool with that, so be it. But she shouldn't throw stones when she's living in that big of a glass house.
