More than a week after her ex-husband Bruce Jenner’s historic Diane Sawyer interview, Kris Jenner made her first red carpet appearance at the 2015 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute benefit on Monday, May 4.
The reality star and momager, 59, looked confident in a scarlet red draped gown that was cinched with a gold belt. She paired the look with black and gold heels and giant fringed gold lantern earrings, which went well with this year's theme "China: Through the Looking Glass."
As Vogue tweeted, “Those #MetGala earrings are perfect, @Kris Jenner.”

It’s been an interesting few months for Jenner, who had an emotional reaction to her ex-husband's decision to transition from male to female. As seen in a sneak peek of the two-part Keeping Up With the Kardashians special about Bruce, airing May 17 and 18, Kris broke down while talking to daughter Kim Kardashian about the former Olympian.
“He has to deal with this for his entire life, of waking up and feeling like, 'Whoa, this isn't my body. This doesn't feel comfortable,'" Kim, 34, told her mother. "That's the only way I can kind of imagine it. And you really have to, like, let go."
A tearful Kris replied, “I have these memories of this life. And I feel sometimes like it didn't exist."
It looks like Kris has come around, though, tweeting a supportive message after Bruce’s big interview, “Not only was I able to call him my husband for 25 years and father of my children, I am now able to call him my hero.”
