Kenya Moore, who is pregnant with her first child, revealed that she may be forced to deliver the baby early due to health issues including possible preeclampsia.
“I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia…” the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 47, captioned an Instagram photo of her feet on Saturday, October 27. “I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal!”
The reality star elaborated on her condition. “I took more tests,” she wrote. “Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day.”
She concluded: “Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.”
Moore added “#highrisk,” “#miraclebaby,” “#pregnantover40” and a slew of other hashtags to her post.
A source tells Us Weekly, “She has been told by doctors she is high risk. She has to avoid all stress and anything that can cause blood pressure to rise.”
The Bravo personality announced in April that she and husband Marc Daly are expecting their first child together. “We will definitely be welcoming a boy or girl in late this year,” she said during the RHOA season 10 reunion. “Oh, my God, I said that! I don’t want to talk about the details because I’m still very nervous about everything so I want to get past a safe place.”
Moore revealed on Instagram in September that she weighed 200 lbs with “a few months to go” in her pregnancy. She also noted that her “legs, booty and boobs” were “way bigger.”
The couple celebrated their impending arrival with a baby shower on October 20. RHOA cast members Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams were in attendance at the “Met Gala with a fairy-tale” themed event in Atlanta. “Words cannot express the joy and happiness I feel in my heart,” the former Miss USA wrote on Instagram Sunday, October 21. “So overwhelming to have a room of people who came to celebrate the impending life of #babydaly.”
Moore, who confirmed her RHOA exit earlier this month, denied using a surrogate in April and shot down rumors in June that her pregnancy was fake.
