Just plane ignorant! Chrissy Teigen swiftly shut down a troll on Tuesday, April 24, who questioned whether she was too far along in her pregnancy to fly.
“Why can’t people mind their own uteruses?” tweeted the 32-year-old. “I have a doctor. I’m good, thanks for the fake concern!”
The mom of Luna, 2, and her husband, John Legend, are expecting baby No. 2 — a boy — in June. According to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, flying in your third trimester is perfectly safe. But air travel is not recommended after 36 weeks.
Hopefully this most recent flight was smoother than the one she had in December. “My nose and gums are bleeding and my skin runneth over my compression socks,” Teigen tweeted. “Such is life when you are . . . pregnant on a plane.”
Teigen and the 10-time Grammy winner, 39, who are based in L.A., flew to NYC to attend City Harvest’s 35th Anniversary Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street. Later that night, the model, who was honored for her work with the nonprofit, shared exciting news about the event’s auction portion. Two separate bidders forked over $1.1 million for a 20-person dinner whipped up by chef Eric Ripert with musical accompaniment by Legend.
“Very proud to be part of this organization and honored to win the heart of the city award,” Teigen wrote in a Tuesday Instagram post. “Now it’s time to hide and get this baby ready for the world.” In the photo, the cookbook author showcases her maternity style in a pink Valentino dress as Legend — dressed in a sharp navy suit — strolls alongside her.
Meanwhile, the parenting police should know better than to mess with Teigen. She is notorious for clapping back at ridiculous comments online. On Sunday, April 22, when Teigen cooked red wine braised short ribs and tweeted a drool-inducing photo, one user replied, “Did you give ur kid a food with red wine in it?”
Teigen responded: “Yeah she gets wasted and sleeps all through the night.”
