About

Born on February 20, 1984, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Noah began his career in 2002 by taking up various hosting gigs on the South African Broadcasting Corporation. In 2008, the political commentator was the fourth runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing and from 2010 to 2011, he hosted the late-night talk show Tonight With Trevor Noah on M-Net and DStv.

Noah’s first big break came in 2014 when he became a Senior International Correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, succeeding the comedian as host one year later.

In 2016, Noah’s autobiography, Born a Crime, debuted with positive reviews as his star status only continued to grow. Six years later in 2021, he hosted the 63rd and 64th Annual Grammy Awards and returned to the gig one year later. That same year, he also cohosted the White House Correspondents Dinner.

In addition to his talents as a host, Noah has also made various appearances on TV and in film, including the family drama Nashville, Marvel’s Black Panther and the Netflix series American Vandal. In October 2022, Noah announced he would be stepping down from his seven-year run on The Daily Show.

Throughout his time in the spotlight, the television personality has had multiple relationships, the first being with Dani Gabriel from 2014 to 2015. Shortly after moving to the United States, Noah dated model Jordyn Taylor for four years before their split in 2018. The Comedy Central personality then found love with Friday Night Light’s alum Minka Kelly and the pair were together for two years before their breakup in May 2021.
