Nathan Fillion

Nathan Fillion is a Canadian actor, writer, and producer best known for his roles in the TV series Firefly and Castle.

Fillion began his acting career in the late 1990s, with early roles in TV shows such as Sliders and Two Guys and a Girl. In 2002, Fillion starred as Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds in the sci-fi TV series Firefly, which was later canceled after only one season but gained a cult following and inspired a feature film, Serenity, released in 2005.

Fillion’s breakout mainstream role came in 2009, when he starred as Richard Castle, a mystery novelist who teams up with Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) to solve crimes, in Castle, which ran for eight seasons until its end in 2016.

Fillion is also known for his voice work on various animated series and films, including the Halo video game franchise. He has also appeared in several TV movies and numerous films, including The Rookie, Waitress and Desperate Housewives.
