Mena Suvari

Mena Suvari, born in February 1979 in Rhode Island, began her career as a model at Wilhelmina agency. She began acting by making appearances in numerous television shows such as Boy Meets World and ER. 

In the late 1990s, Suvari played supporting roles in indie films such as Nowhere and Kiss the Girls. In 1999, she made her A-list debut in the Academy Award-winning film, American Beauty. Following the Academy Award-winning film, she starred as sweet Heather in the popular American Pie comedies.

Suvari married German-born cinematographer Robert Brinkmann in March 2000. Suvari and Brinkmann were divorced in May 2005. Two years later, Suvari met Italian-Canadian concert promoter Simone Sestito whom she met at the Toronto International Film Festival and they were married in June 2010. The actress filed for divorce in November 2011.
