Mark Consuelos

Mark Consuelos is an actor and television host best known for his role on All My Children and for cohosting Live! With Kelly and Mark alongside his wife, Kelly Ripa. Consuelos was born in Zaragoza, Spain, and later settled in Florida with his family. He went on to attend the University of Notre Dame before transferring to the University of South Florida, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Consuelos began his acting career in the mid-1990s and landed his breakout role as Mateo Santos on All My Children in 1995. His work on the soap opera earned him widespread recognition and several awards, including an ALMA Award. He later expanded into primetime television and film with roles in Missing, American Horror Story, Pitch and Riverdale, the latter in which he played villain Hiram Lodge. In addition to acting, Consuelos became a frequent guest host on Live! alongside Ripa before officially joining the daytime series full-time in 2023 after Ryan Seacrest’s departure.

Outside acting and hosting, Consuelos and Ripa founded the company Milojo Productions in 2007 and have worked together on several television projects.

Consuelos met Ripa while starring together on All My Children, and the couple tied the knot in 1996. They share three children: son Michael (born in 1997), daughter Lola (born in 2001) and son Joaquin (born in 2003).
