Kristin Davis

Born in Boulder, Colorado, in 1965, Kristin Davis is an actress and producer most well known for her role as the sweetly optimistic Charlotte York in the then-HBO series Sex and the City. She graduated from Rutgers University in 1987 with a BFA degree in acting and moved to New York shortly after.

Davis achieved widespread fame when cast for her recurring role as Brooke on Melrose Place in 1995. She went on to make appearances on hit shows such as Seinfield and Friends before she landed her role on Sex and the City in 1998. She remained a member of the cast until the show’s end in 2004, and would later reprise her role in the movie adaptations. Davis has also made various film appearances and has ventured into voice acting.

In 2021, it was announced that Davis would reprise her role as York once again in the Sex and the City Max spinoff And Just Like That. The show was renewed for a third season, set to premiere in 2025.

A recovering alcoholic, the actress has previously been romantically involved with leading Hollywood men including Matthew Perry, Alec Baldwin and Liev Schreiber, but she remains tightlipped about her love life. She adopted her daughter, Gemma Rose, in 2011, and her son, Wilson, in 2018.
