Ian Ziering

Ian Ziering is an actor best known for playing Steve Sanders on Beverly Hills, 90210 and Fin Shepard in the Sharknado franchise. Ziering grew up in West Orange, New Jersey, and earned a bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University in 1988.

Ziering began acting as a child in commercials and landed early roles in shows like Guiding Light and The Doctors. He also had early appearances on shows like Married … with Children and Melrose Place before his 1990 breakout role as Steve Sanders on Beverly Hills, 90210. He remained a principal cast member until the show’s end in 2000.

In 2013, he landed the role of Fin Shepard in the TV film Sharknado, reprising the role in the cult-hit’s five sequels.

The actor has voiced characters in animated series including Biker Mice from Mars and Godzilla: The Series. Ziering also competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2007, where he was eliminated during semifinals with partner Cheryl Burke.

Ziering was first wed to Nikki Schieler Ziering from 1997 to 2002. He later moved on with Erin Kristine Ludwig, and the two tied the knot in 2010. They share daughters Mia (born in 2011) and Penna (born in 2013). They announced their separation in 2019.
