Brie Larson

Brie Larson has made a name for herself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2019’s Captain Marvel, in which she plays the titular superhero. Larson previously starred in Hoot (2006), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), 21 Jump Street (2012) and Kong: Skull Island (2017). For her performance in 2015’s Room, Larson earned an Oscar, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award. .

In 2017, Larson made her feature film directorial debut with the independent comedy-drama Unicorn Store. She later produced the Emmy Award-winning virtual reality series The Messy Truth VR Experience.

Larson is a gender equality activist and an advocate for sexual assault survivors. She teamed up with Los Angeles artist Alia Penner to launch Women of Cinefamily in 2014, calling attention to films directed by and starring women. She also took part in the Women’s March on Washington in 2017 and spoke out against the gender pay gap in Hollywood at the 2019 Women in the World Annual Summit.

The actress was previously engaged to Alex Greenwald, the lead singer of the band Phantom Planet, but the pair split in 2019. She later dated actor and filmmaker Elijah Allan-Blitz until 2023.
