Alan Bersten

Alan Bersten grew up in Minnesota training as a Latin and ballroom dancer. He made a name for himself while competing on season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance in 2013 where he finished in the top 12. Bersten made his Dancing With the Stars debut as a troupe member during season 20.

Bersten became a DWTS pro for season 25, which premiered in 2017. He won his first mirrorball trophy with Bachelorette’s Hannah Brown during season 28 in 2019 and has continued to compete on the show ever since. He competed in season 33 of DWTS with Ilona Maher, and they won second place in the November 2024 finale.

Bersten had a short-lived showmance with his DWTS season 27 partner, Alexis Ren, in 2018 and sparked romance rumors with former Bachelorette Gabby Windey in 2023. In October 2024, a source exclusively told Us that he and fellow DWTS pro Emma Slater were “hooking up.” The couple shared an onstage kiss during the last show of the DWTS Live tour in April 2025.
