Britney Spears’ feud with her mother is apparently heating up.

The pop singer was seen having an intense discussion with her mother, Lynne Spears, on Thursday after handing over a set of documents.

Britney ambushed her mom around noon on the set of sister Jamie Lynn’s show Zoey 101, which was shooting on location in Valencia, California.

According to photographers, while her sons Sean, 21 months, and Jayden, 9 months, waited in the car alone, Britney entered Jamie Lynn's trailer and handed over some papers to her mother who was inside.

After less than a minute, Britney emerged from the trailer looking unhappy.

Lynne then followed after her daughter, reportedly calling out, "Britney, Britney."

Britney, 25, angrily waved her mother off and walked straight back to her car and drove home to Beverly Hills.

Though some have speculated that Spears served her mother with a restraining order, TMZ reports that the mysterious paperwork was actually a letter from an out-of-state lawyer, asking Lynne not to go near her grandchildren if she's taking any medication that could impair her judgment.

After the incident, Lynne told X17 photographers, "She didn't serve me," before adding sarcastically that it was a "love letter."

Britney and her mother have been at odds since Spears entered rehab in February, when she felt Lynne took Kevin's side against her. "She felt betrayed by her mom after she linked up with Kevin," a source tells Us. "Lynn just handed the kids over to Kevin -- and he got all the power."

In a letter to fans on her website last month, Britney alluded to the rift, remarking, "I have had to cut so many people out of my life. It is so sad, because if anyone is a family person…it is me."
