Britney's Ex Bodyguard Claims She Almost OD'd and Has "Mental Problems"

 Ethan Miller/Getty Images In a video interview with London's News of the World, Britney Spears' former bodyguard Tony Barretto claims that the troubled star nearly suffered a drug overdose following her rehab stint early last spring. "She has mental problems, and they are not helped by her taking drugs and alcohol," Barretto says in the interview. Barretto recently filed a declaration detailing his former employer's drug and alcohol use in the child custody case between Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline. In his interview with the British tabloid, Barretto also alleges that the singer almost suffered a drug overdose in a hotel room with singer Howie Day just days after leaving Promises Treatment Center in late March of this year. "She was in a terrible state, just sweating and shaking. Her pupils were huge— we thought she was dying," claims Barretto. The former bodyguard also says he was told about the singer's frequent nudity before he took the job. "Before I even started working for her, I was warned about her stripping," he says. "I must have seen her naked dozens of times and each time I've been extremely embarrassed. She strips off anywhere -- at home, recording studios and clubs." Barretto maintains that it was concern for Spears' two children (Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1,) -- not fame -- that drove him to submit his declaration. "Her children need attention, and Britney doesn't appear to be willing to give them that at the moment," he says. "She can't cope with being a mother, as she has such a low boredom threshold." The singer is currently under judge's order to submit to twice-weekly drug testing and must refrain from drinking or taking drugs at least 12 hours before assuming custody of her children. When Usmagazine.com asked Barretto's attorney Gloria Allred why he had given the tabloid interview and how much he was paid for it, Allred replied: "No comment."

As for K-Fed, oh my gosh, is he any better than Britney? NO!!!!! The kids don't even have a chance, money or no money!! Where is the love and caring and devotion they need more than $$$$$$.????? What they get and what they see is what they'll be and you can't blame them but parents that shouldn't be parents. There is alot more to it than just loving them.

I am truly sorry that these two precious boys do not have a chance with the parents that they have. They should not have had children as neither of them seem to have the time or caring concern for them. Kevin is trying to outdo Britney by taking the kids because if he were a real father, he'd spend more time with them. People have tried with you and warned you and it's time to give up because you don't want the help. Hard love isn't it. At least my daughter's are still alive and great mother's raising their kids properly. Gosh Britney, what a waste of a human being if you let this go on and you will because you are too far gone. When it happens, not too many people are going to feel sorry for you. It's sad and a shame but you are asking for it and you will get it honey. TOO BAD. I even as a stranger wish I could be with you and help for the sake of you and your children that's how bad I feel as a mom who has already raised two daughter's. I am a nobody, but as Julia Roberts said as well, I'd like to take you under my wing and help. Of course you'll laugh at this because you don't want the help. But then it's your life isn't it.

I think Brit's mom or dad should help her. I know kids are estranged from her parents, BUT I love my children and would go to her to help her, estrangement or not. K-Fed is an alcoholic, drug user. He is not the parent to get custody. For goodness sakes, he left his girlfriend for Brit. He is a money hungry fool. Let mom, dad, Jaimee Lynn, Brian or any other reliable family member take the kids, until Brits okay. Brit I am praying for you. Brit is just going through some hard times, she is human. I pray for you.

...I think everyone knows that Britney has gotten caught up in a lifestyle that having so much money leads to. If you ever read true stories of actors and actresses from older generations, they will all admit they have gotten caught up in drugs, partyin, etc. So, what is going on with her is not out of the normal. Its the fact that she was just a teen idol a few years back and everyone looked at her as a good girl, then a sex symbol, and then a divorsee and mother of 2 young boys. She grew up fast....

TK, grow up. Most parents aren't with their kids 24/7. Yeah, most parents don't go out as much as both K-Fed and Britney, but that's because they don't have extra money for babysitters on top of daily child care plus don't have the time or energy since they have to work. It's irrelevant how often Britney goes out, the kids are safe and taken care of by nannies and they're probably in bed anyway. The only thing that's relevant is how the kids are treated when they're actually with their parents, and since they're not being abused, it's no one else's business but theirs how their arrange the childcare and how much time they actually spend with their kids. My parents rarely spent time with me because they had to work all the time (and even if they didn't, they might not have spent that much time with me, most adults can't hack 24/7 with infants that easily) and I wasn't put in an orphanage. K-Fed seems to go out a lot too, and he has nannies to take care of the kids when he has them, and if that's bad parenting nobody seems to have a problem with it. I doubt he'll give up his life to spend every minute with the kids if he gets custody, didn't seem to with shar's kids.

The bodyguard has trust problems, and I hope Britney comes to her senses and gives him what he deserves. What is irritating is that this bodyguard guy has no concern for Britney's children. He's just trying to cash in on her deal. Seems she's had a lot of people like that around her. I just hope Britney is sensibile when discarding her untrustworthy employees- not all of them are against you Britney. Be careful.

Travel does not make a home unstable when said travel is for work. Many people have been divorced. This is not reason to not approve someone for adoption. The both adopted overseas for several reasons- they know the children are more likely to die in those places for one. For another, Angelina stated she just fell in love with Maddox when she met him.

No, Angelina has not been reported to be into herion, it has been speculated by non credible people however. Mostly the same who speculate that she and Brad are breaking up all the time, he's running off only wioth Shiloh, and going back to Jennifer Aniston. Abusing alcohol? There was ONE report that she drank too much at ONE party. Oooh bad, a grown woman who had a few drinks. Who cares what sex of her partners were- unless you have an issue with homosexuals? I do think they guy is probably making a buck, but then again, why would he lie considering that if he did odds are he would not be hired by another celebrity. Someone mentioned Angelina Jolie as a role model for Britney. Actually, Angelina Jolie has been reported by multiple sources to still use heroin, and there are also reports that she has been abusing alcohol lately. She also was having sexual liaisons with women in hotel rooms until at least recently, before she made her famous declaration to give it up for Brad's sake. So maybe that is not a good example :\ But, Britney does need medicine, and a lot of it. And lots of psychotherapy.

Ok, she isnt perfect, and I am not going to defend anything she does, but come on, if this guy wasn't looking for fame or money or revenge and just in it to help her boys then he wouldn't be doing tabloid interviews or public announcements, he would just go to the courtroom, tell the judge what he saw and leave telling the press no comment. I feel sorry for her in the fact that all the stuff she does- someone is making money off of her. There isnt a person she knows, I dont think that doesn't use her for that purpose.
