12:37 is correct about how you keep charitable foundations going. You do not distribute its entire net worth. You need capital and usually investments to generate income.

givingback.org is seriously flawed. They really have no idea how much money any of these celebs make. They also don't have a complete accounting of their giving either.

For instance, givingback.org lists a huge bequest by someone that was announced in the year covered by that list - well, that money is from a will that won't be distributed until the celeb's death and then maybe not until the surviving spouse dies & all disputes over the will are settled. Then who knows how much money will be left.

That site also has a long sidebar that lists all the giving that is not included. It's a useless list to judge anyone or gauge anyone's level of giving.

And, Jello, perhaps you should return to your obsessively hating Jolie site where you and your SMART friends all believe that Jolie used voodoo to get Pitt to pursue her. That's just so SMART. And continue blathering on about your plans figuring out the best voodoo techniques for your SMART friends to use trying to bring about bad things for Jolie, Pitt and their children. I especially love how you and your SMART friends hunt down every article and picture of Jolie and her children and blow up the pics to super size and then spend hours analyzing every millimeter and word uttered by them. OOOOHHHH!!The naughty little lie!Babel never earned la Palme d'or at Cannes.It was The wind that shakes the Barley by Ken Loach that won this year.Inarritu won the prize for direction and some other consolation prize called prix du jury oecuménique.And that is a fact and yes that one is a little award.It's funny how the worshippers of the cult always try to make things look brighter and bigger than they really are.

Loon? That's a bird, right? What are you talking about? I'm telling you why it failed, not making excuses. It was never going to be a big hit. It's a vanity project that Brad's been trying to get made for 10+ years. I'm not going to see it in the theater, but that doesn't mean I think the movie is a failure or that Brad Pitt is any less marketable. The budget was $30M, which is nothing for a Brad Pitt headlined movie. The movie will make it's money back within the first few weeks and then some, and will become profitable upon DVD release. It might be a flop relative to Pitt's ludicrously profitable history, but by no means will it be a failure.

It was totally baffling to release a second western so soon. It doesn't take an industry expert to know that. It's been decades since two major studio westerns were released within a month of one-another. It's a big factor.

If there is something wrong with the public, then why did the public like 3:10 to Yuma, which was also a character study, and Apocalypto, which was a violent three-hour movie, but not The Assassination? Because The Assassination was a lame movie, that's why. It was a bad movie. It had an artsy-fartsy, gay theme that was pretentious to the hilt, and the public and even critics (except for the arsty-fartsy gay ones) recognized it as such. There was nothing profound about the movie. It is simply pretentious. Everyone seems to get it but the artsy-fartsy gay types.

OK,let's assume that the 2 millions are not the total amount given by these 2,1/3 would stil be over 8 millions.You want us to believe that they actually gave such an enormous sum without making it known to the public?No way.There's nothing bad in giving a small percentage of your income, most people give less than 10%,so why the need to always pretend they do more than others?
