Singer Bobby Brown had a mild heart attack on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old performer began suffering chest pains Tuesday night, spent the evening at Tarzana Regional Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley, California, and was released Wednesday morning in good condition.

"This morning they did diagnose him as suffering from a mild heart attack ... they attributed (it) to stress and diet," his attorney, Phaedra Parks, told the Associated Press.

"He is in great spirits, he's doing very well," she said. "He's speaking with family members."

Brown thanked fans for their good wishes and still intends to perform at the at the V100 Taste of Soul festival in Los Angeles this weekend.

"He just wants the fans to know that he is definitely going to come back full speed ahead," Parks said.
