well reguardless of what happened to her she left her mark on everyone one way or another, either they hated her or loved her. i personally thought she was an awesome person, full of energy reguardless of what she did in her spare time.. who cares she wanted to have fun and live life to the fulliest and that she did.. if it was foul play then lets all hope that they will get whats comin to them and her and her son can rest.. WE LOVED YA GIRL!!!

Anyone paying attention can see and know that those around Anna were enabling an addiction. It was quite apparent that anna was dependant on medication and drugs of one sort or another. So called friends should be ashamed and feel guilty that they did not intervene on her behalf in a truely positive manner that could have possibly saved her life.
I do believe that Howard is at fault in a great part in her death. I hope he is found out. I saw very little true grief about him through his whole ordeal. Every time he was on camera he had a peculiar little smirk I think he is just in it for the cash becasue his meal ticket is gone. There is always someone watching, things in the daark and behind closed doors will eventually come out.

I really don't have much patience for this crap, and I feel the whole thing is becoming a total joke, a la the saga(Blech!) of O.J. Simpson during his criminal media circus trial in 1995, and eventually, this whole thing will fade away, but I guess it won't fade away anytime soon.
Atrocious is how I describe this whole mess.

1. Cutting back medications or keeping them the same depends on each patient and their needs. A regular dosage of a medication is not going to kill a person, particularly when a person has been on those medications for awhile and they have built up a tolerance. It can cause more harm than good to cut back some medications in some patients, including antidepressants and pain medication.
2. Interactions are not guaranteed to happen. Most likely 99 people will be fine while 1 would suffer from an interaction. But even when there is a .001 chance patients must be told of the possibilities. Because of the unlikely nature of interactions, it would hardly be a reliable way to murder someone.

all of that is moot seeing as how every single person has said it was anna who did not want to go to the hospital. methadone cut back? interesting seeing as how similar meds were not cut back in many cases i have seen which includes morphine. methadone is also a cough suppressant so to take her off of that would only mean putting her on something else. antidepressants? never seen those cut back either, even when on several in combination. and yes, in what i have seen i refer to high fevers and infections, lung problems, in one case the person was on a respirator after a surgery because of their breathing not being as strong as the doctors would have liked. they still received all their meds, nothing lowered. and this was in a top rated hospital with top rated doctors who assured us about the medication schedule.

chantal, if you go into the hospital with a fever while you are on regularly prescribed medications that you must take daily, you get hose meds in the hospital too, they do not quit giving them to you. i've seen family members firsthand with similar conditions and worse off actually who are on a multitude of prescriptions receive all their meds while in the hospital. in fact, the doctors where sure to ask for them so they could continue to give them. those meds included sleeping pills, pain medications, heart medications, blood pressure meds. i have seen this on more than one occasion. prescribed drugs are to treat, they do not stop treating because you are ill unless it is the drug itself making one ill. taking one off a needed med would often only make one sicker.

anon 3:36: an interaction is Not just that - an interaction - if you intentionally try to use it/try to cause it in order to kill someone. (He obviously couldn't use any other types of drugs because most of them would show up in the toxigology). We don't know what medication she was taking specifically. Assuming that it was a combination of antidepressants, methadone, and pain medication - her regular dosis of each of them should have been reduced when she fell ill with 105 fever/she should have been taken to the ER. So, my theory is that Stern saw an "opportunity" there - he said himself that he was usually the one administering the medication to her - therefor if he continues to administer her regular dosis of each of her regular medication to her while she has (or even shortly after) 105 fever with the "hope" that a drug interaction will occur - it is not the fever alone that killed her, but a combination of the fever and the induced drug interaction. It would be incorrect to say that her illness/her fever alone killed her, in that situation. Therefor, if they can show the intent part with some corroborating evidence (eg, an email saying that she was growing suspicious of Stern about him doing something to Daniel etc) - her regular dosis of each of her medications was used as a means to kill her by intentionally administering them to her at a time when her system could not handle it. Not a lot of people die from the fever alone, esp when taken to an ER & given supportive therapy. However, the lack of treatment for her fever & the drug interaction would prob be the factor that pushes someone 'over the edge' - therefor I attribute the cause more to the drug interaction (& no ER) rather than to the illness itself. (And, besides I think she had begun to recover from the fever already, but I'm not sure about that detail).
About the part you mentioned about the doctor's responsibility: I agree that it would normally be up to the doctor to adjust the dosis etc. - however since she was not taken to the ER, and from all we know they didn't even call a doctor - instead her shady nurse was "icing her down" - how can it be the doctor's responsibility if he/she was never informed? I do think the nurse should lose her right to practise.
Anyways, that's my theory about how he could have done it. I'm sure he could have used a different "method", and there are certainly other possibilties he could have pursued. But, I do think that Stern was involved in her and Daniel's deaths.

Why hasn't Howard taken the paternity test and put the rumors of Birkhead being the father to rest? It's a little strange. It takes less than a minute to get swabbed for the test.

There is something VERY Scott Peterson about Howard K. Stern. I can't put my finger on it but it's there.

Innocent until proven guilty. Howard, hang in there and keep doing just what you are doing. Funny how everyone is turning on Howards family, Moe and his wife and his Attorneys. Neither of these people are squirming. You all are doing it for them. They don't have to say anymore than thay have already. Face it,you are all ticked off because you want to know more and it is not going fast enough for you. He has not been charged with anything. He is being reserved and patient. When he is required by the law he will speak. His eulogy was his voice and Anna's. He said " we lived it ". It's true they lived it. What you or anyone else have is from the news , outside their door. They knew it all. Everything else is speculations and dreamed up scenarios.
