She gave the boy a big life. How many parentless kids have the same oppourtionity? She didn't plan to adopt the whole county.If she gave money they would have said to her she did it to buy the child illegally. She coudln't win. She has done so much in this matter. If I'm not mistaken, "orphan" would indicate a parentless child, therefore, how can these two be taking a child away from its parents? Haven't the parents already "left", so to speak, thus, adoption?

I have never known a volunteer or employee of a charity to be so bitter to those who help support them. I would literally kiss the asses of those who came in and gave the organization I worked for if they got the publicity and gave the cash these two do, as would have anyone else in the building who had the interests of the charity at heart. One person's donation of time and work is not canceled out because of another who gets more attention. People who give money do not need to give time in order to get that tax write off. But by showing up with media in tow they get attention which is important to the life of many groups.

And taking kids from their parents? Is that what adoption is?

I hated Million Dollar Baby, along with everything else Paul Haggis has written. I'm still waiting to see her hit a home run in a femine role. The jury's still out on her, imo. Though, there's no denying she was great in Boys Don't Cry.

Samantha Morton is the only one that jumps to mind. Naomi Watts is pretty impressive, too. Maggie Gyllenhaal just started getting decent roles in the past few years and I think she'll get to that level in time.

Thank you for sharing. I know the Brangeloonies are going to say you made this up and call you a liar, but you just reinforced what we knew all along. Brad and Angelina aren't doing much that's noble. The true humanitarians are the ones who do the real work and don't receive credit...or their photos on the cover of magazines exclaiming, "Look what I did! I'm such a GOOD person!"

MCET: This is the last posting I will make on this subject! But here is my answer to your questions: I wouldn't give up my health, my peace of mind, or my integrity for ALL of Angelina Jolie's money. And I SURE wouldn't give up anything for that wormy adulterer she snagged. Who cares what he USED to look like. And as far as her being the sexiest woman alive a "couple years ago", does that really mean the "sluttiest" woman alive? I'm proud not to be (or ever have been) a slut. I wouldn't want the title :-) And her sexiest woman alive days are DEFINITELY over anyhow. Unless you consider anorexia and old-age sexy, which most people don't. And as far as her "thriving family unit" is concerned, I doubt it. We'll see what those kids are like when they get to be teenagers. Speaking as somebody who grew up in a pretty f*cked up home, kids can keep it together when they're small even in the worst of home environments. When they become teenagers they start acting out and THEN they tell the tale about the home they were really raised in. And even if her kids do turn out ok, the professional nannies who raised them should probably get most of the credit.
