Shades of Janis Joplin. Spectacular, but lost. For those of you who don't know of Janis, read about her. She was so tortured and talented. Amy is following in her footsteps. Too close in her footsteps. To the Entertainment World I say, Flock to England to protect her. We still ache in the country about Janis. It is not necessary to go through this once again. It is said that you learn from your mistakes. Please don't make the mistake of allowing us to wake up one morning with the news that she has died.

Last week, Amy Winehouse's rep told Us that the singer's August dates had been "put on hold."
Now her rep tells Us that Winehouse's September shows in the U.S. and Canada are being postponed as well.
Her rep explained via a statement, "Due to the rigors involved in touring, Amy Winehouse has been advised to postpone her upcoming September U.S. and Canadian tour dates. Amy's European and U.K. tour dates in October and November remain in place. Plans are being made to reschedule her U.S. tour for early 2008. Until then, Amy has been ordered to rest and is working with medical professionals to address her health."
Though a rep for the singer, 23, continues to chalk the cancelled shows up to "exhaustion," Winehouse has in the past openly discussed her battles with substance abuse, eating disorders and cutting. While her rep denies that the singer is in rehab, it has been widely speculated that the musician is currently seeking treatment for drugs and alcohol.
