The Bachelor has commitment issues.
After wooing them onscreen for eight weeks, Austin, Texas, bar owner Brad Womack nixed both finalists on the show’s November 19 finale, handing out goodbyes instead of an engagement ring.
Watch the clip below as Jenni, a 27-year-old Phoenix Suns Cheerleader, cries and hugs Womack, 35, and Deanna, a 25-year-old realtor, demands answers.
“I just don’t understand why you’d say goodbye to me,” she says through tears. “I guess that’s because our feelings are so different.”
In an unprecedented move, the TV Bachelor tells DeAnna, “I refuse to give you any kind of false promise because I do care about you so much.”
Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss called the ending, the show’s eleventh, “really dark” in a press report this week. Fans were outraged by the conclusion, which had been teased all week with an ad featuring Womack declaring he’d found “the one.”
“I have been watching The Bachelor series from the very beginning ... but this is IT FOR ME!" ranted a fan on the show’s message board on ABC.com. "I cannot believe that ABC would air a program that ended this way when it was clearly nothing but lies and manipulation on Brad's part."

I know all of you heart-broken ladies out there are saying "how could he do that to those poor girls?" But credit has to be given to him. He tried, you could see it from episode to episode..he tried to fall in love with one of those girls, and DeAnna and Jenni were the two girls that came the closest to being his soul mate. How much worse would it have been if he did choose one of them, but with false hope? With false affection? It would've been ten times worse if he chose one of those two over a small hunch. The thought of "I THINK I love this girl" shouldn't and didn't propel him to choose between DeAnna or Jenni...real love is not a second thought. Brad is still a very respectable, honest guy in my book. I give him props for doing what he did.

I said GOOD! Why are so many people complaining? At least he was honest. You can't put a guy in a room full of 25 beautiful women and just assume he'll find the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with. He doesn't even know the real them. All the other bachelors end up breaking up with their fiancees anyway, at least he never proposed in the first place. Maybe he really does have feelings for DeAnna, but that doesn't mean he's ready for marriage. They should date like normal people and see where it goes. I bet in the past a lot of the guys felt pressured into proposing to SOMEONE, and that's why it never worked out.

I think he owed DeAnna the chance of dating in real life. To me it looked like he had a panic attack when it came time to propose to her which might mean he has serious commitment issues. If he didn't feel for DeAnna then why fly her father down (to ask his permission to propose), why buy the ring? How about at the After the Rose show when he told her thinks about her every day or when he whispered in her ear that he misses her more than she could possibly know. Either he has feelings for her or he is seriously messing with her head. I don't think Brad handled things well at all.

What's sad is not that this guy got away with humiliating 25 women just to get some free publicity for his bars, but that they ALLOWED it! Grow some balls, ladies! Wouldn't it be a hoot if all 25 girls responded "no" when offered a rose next time? Game over.

um...just my opinion here, but women who go on shows like these...where they have to pretend to be a dog begging for some man to pick her and give her a bloody rose...are asking for it.

oh come on. yeah brad put on an acting job, that he seemed to be so into both of these ladies. BUT these ladies were falling all over him. telling him of their love, how perfect he is, she is, will do anything for him. enough to give any guy the major jitters. men like a little mystery and challenge and these women were ready, willing, and desperate. was a great ego boost for brad but it doesnt inspire chemistry and love. trust me, if he now decides to pursue either one of these ladies, the one who holds off and gives him a hard time, will be the one he is more attracted to.

What is the biggest joke that this show has ever done.I have watched this show since it started.Brad knew what hewas getting into. Oh, come on people...you can not take all this just so seriously IT IS A SHOW! And this is the best that ever happened, because nobody was expecting this final. Do you really believe the girls where in love with him? Don't you think that everything was already scripted? Shows like these put us woman in a very stupid angle, every men thinking about us, we just care on marrying somebody with money and a nice house. Ok, not blaming on the persons, taking part of the show, everybody needs money to live. But, that there are people really believing this is true? Yeah, there are really lot of stupid persons walking around our ways, and this kind of show are made for them.
