Hard-nosed Dr. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will take over voice-over duty from Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) in Episode 11 of Grey's Anatomy airing early next year, tvguide.com reports.
Columnist Michael Ausiello writes:
"The new narrator is ... Bailey," adding that "there's a reason behind her temporary promotion — and it ain't pretty."
What's gonna happen to her?
Nothing physical, he noted, but she will face an emotional plight.
"Let's just say that random scene last week of Bailey at home with her husband and kid will make a lot more sense when Episode 11 airs early next year," he hinted.

I don't know why this is news.George replaced Meredith as narrator in "What Have I Done to Deserve This?". TV Guide must have nothing better to report on since the strike.

Who cares- I used to really love this show. Ever since the cast changes it's gone down hill.. I don't even rush home to watch it anymore like I used to. I still love Meredith and Bailey..it just sucks this show is spiraling.. The George and Izzie thing really is so lame to me almost trying to force a storyline. lame..lame .. lame..

This should not be an issue. Meredith has been great,and should narrate, we are used to her "feelings" and relate to her. After all, the name of the show is GREY'S Anatomy, not Bailey's anatomy.

This isn't the first time they've had a guest narrator. Christina replaced Mere as narrator last season during the episdoe where Christina turns Burke in (for his shakey hand). The past few episodes have been foreshadowing troubles that Bailey will likely have with her marriage. Looks like trouble with her husband is inevitable.

Of course, that first person has a good point. However, I really interested in getting an inside look into Bailey's life. She's one of my favorite characters and it always feels like she's just kind of thrown in as an after thought. Anyway, I can't imagine that the outlook on her home life looks very good. It's kind of a repeat of the Chief in a way.

I think Bailey will make a great narrator. She has seen and experienced more as a doctor then Meredith. To me, she is the backdone of Grey's Anatomy. She will do a great job. I look forward to seeing the episode even though I know the character will be experincing some hard trials.
